Dog mobility issues? In and out of vehicle, This is the best solution I've tested.
This harness is even better than the one I got two years ago. The difference being the buckles are on both sides. This really helps if one side is more painful on your doggy. It fits all types had one for my deep chested boxer, and now for my German Sheppard mix chap. Both had rear knee weakness and having the longer torso length and two sturdy handles gives confidence to me and doggy when lifting. The buckles hold weight no problem and I have even thrown them in the washing machine. Not sure that is a good idea, but we rolled in something...I've tried several other aids and none work as well to get up and down. This will extend the time you have with your aging doggy and wont put stress unnecessarily on their joints. Vehicles are high to traverse nowadays.I would say this one is worth every penny the underside is well padded to evenly distribute the weight and yet its not too thick to be hot in most summer walks in my area which does not usually get over 90 F.

dog cannot back out of harness!
FINALLY A HARNESS THAT MY DOG CANNOT BACK OUT OF!!!I have a 5year old female pit mix whomst developed reactivity issues and aggression towards other dogs and sometimes even people in the past few years... we've been using this harness for quite awhile now and as far as i can tell its impossible for her to back out of it. I do have to readjust the fittings slightly if shes been pulling excessively, but most of the time i'm able to walk her loose leashed that is, until we see another dog, cat, bird, jogger, bicyclist.... anyway.i only ever use the back clip with this harness. its expensive but worth the peace of mind. theres sadly no reflective stitching on it so i bought reflective patches to stick to the velcro areas and a rechargeable glow collar for nighttime walks. i love my dog more than i have ever loved anything or anyone else in my entire life, and acquiring this harness has made a huge difference in our lives ♥️

Got my greyhound up very steep stairs in my home -
I thought I'd have to buy a lift for the house! I sort of pull her up so she can just work her legs and use it to keep her from going too fast down and put a lot of weight on the handles several Xs day- holds up great!

This product added over a year to my dog's life
My dog had terrible arthritis. I originally bought this for him to help him up the stairs. One day when going up on his own he fell down those stairs and hurt himself pretty bad. From then on he needed my help standing and this thing did the job. I could also use it to help him across slippery floors without falling. Best purchase for a dog I ever made.I put him down two day ago. The harness is lying next to me right now...

Makes my pup more handsome!
The media could not be loaded. I have tried a couple of harnesses. So far this appears to be the most durable although it is quite heavy for my 23 pound mini aussie. I orderded medium, vest is a bit loose. I am keeping this harness though i wonder if i should have ordered the small instead.

Really nice, but didn't fit my particular dog quite right.
I am looking for a harness that fulfills the following requirements:1) escape/slip proof - from all directions, including when the dog backs up2) comfortable padding, especially under "armpits"3) durable4) tactical - a handle on top to be able to grab the dog quickly, molle for reflective patches and carry pouchesThis harness does a pretty good job with most of these things. The two main reasons I returned it1) The top part starts too far up on my dog's neck, so that when she raises her head it looks like it gouges into her neck. She's a hound dog breed with a good amount of loose skin. She also has a pretty thick neck, so I need a harness that doesn't ride up on the back of her neck quite so much.2) The rear strap under the belly of my dog needs to be right up under the front leg "armpits," not down farther under the belly. If the strap isn't right under the front legs, when we're walking and she stops and/or tries to back up, the harness will slide up toward her head. Since her neck is as big as her head, it could possibly then just slide right over her head and off completely. So I need the holes in the harness for the front legs to fit more snugly. Because of this I really want some padding under those armpits and that seems to be hard to find in any harness. My dog is fairly well-behaved on walks, but she's a hound dog and she is a rescue that has a biting history. So it is imperative that she cannot get loose no matter what might spark an aggressive instinct someday. This harness is really nice and I'm sad it doesn't work for me. It would be better for a more trustworthy dog.

The two handles are a back saver for humans
A superior harness because of the two handles. A little difficult to figure out how to put on your dog at first but you will figure it out. We leave it on him 24/7 doesn't bother or impede him. Having two handles means he is easier to pick up when necessary, and two people can walk along with your dog. Doesn't impede with bodily functions either. My only suggestion to the company is write a better instruction manual, but that is my peeve with almost everything made in China.

Old dog needed help
14 year old lab having issues with stairs, both in house and in/out of car. This provided the security we needed to help him up and to make sure he doesn't fall on the way down. Fits well on my 85# lab. Easy on and off. Can get it on or off while lying down if we need to. Now pretty much leaving it on all the time. Easy for my 72 year old wife to use also. She thanks me at least once a week for getting it. I have completely lifted him a few times but would not recommend it for a dog this big. We know he won't fall down the stairs or off the folding stars to the back of the car. For me this was the perfect choice.

Good over-all, but hey...can we get more padding where it matters?
I went with the medium instead of the large and I may have made a mistake. I have a 65 lb Smooth Collie with issues with her hind quarters (she may have been hit by a slow moving car) and has always had very low strength in her one hind leg. She has trouble with the stairs up into our RV, but just needs "help". Will try this harness first and see if it's enough. We may have to go to a full sling-type aid, but would rather not because she can wear this harness all the time camping and we can just grab the handle on the back to help her when she needs it. Size-wise, this medium sized harness is just barely big enough for her (I bought another brand/type harness for her a couple years ago in large size and it is on its smallest adjustment, so I thought to try a medium; especially after reading the reviews).Which leads to the issue of not enough padding where she could use it. The straps under her chest and belly have very little padding. If I had bought the large and it was on smallest adjustment, it might give her more padding (if that makes any sense). Now, as it is, those straps are largely unpadded, leaving a strap that cuts into her sides when lifted. I think I might contact the company and see if I can get a response and some advice. Maybe I can add some padding by slipping it over the buckle and strap?

Great so far
Just received yesterday so this review may be premature, but so far so good. Our senior dog needs help up and down stairs, having the harness and someone to help stabilize her drastically improved her confidence.Harness is very easy to adjust. Only critique would be finding a way, such as a buckle to put the harness on without lifting the pooches front paw.
