My Hero Academia Anime Winter Hat and Scarf Combo Black

The actual review starts a few paragraphs down, but I admittedly felt like venting about the order process for this item, lol. Absolutely feel free to skip it.This has probably been my most difficult order out of 13 years of using Amazon, but it has a very happy ending and isn't the fault of the seller. The hat and scarf were a birthday present for my mom as she surprised the heck out of me one day by informing she'd begun watching MHA (and is currently caught up on all seasons). Absolutely impressed, I decided this would make a great gift for her.The package was to arrive to me on October 19th, her birthday, but it didn't. Instead, I get a notification past 8PM from Amazon saying my item was left in front of my door. My mail does run very late sometimes, but when I checked around my door, there was nothing. Nothing in the mailbox. I looked a bit around my next door neighbor's places and they didn't appear to have accidentally got it. My heart sank. For the first time, I thought I'd become a victim of a package thief. I let my mom know she wouldn't be getting her birthday present that day and while disappointed, she handled it in good stride.I waited the recommended 48 hours suggested on Amazon's site as they said in rare cases, items may be marked "delivered" ahead of time. Not certain why, though. But after waiting, I finally called and a refund was offered. I chose it in the form of a gift card and ordered again.But wouldn't you know it, the original order FINALLY shows up instead on Saturday, October 24th! I was able to at last give her the present and she absolutely loves it. I had already purchased the replacement and forgive me, but I will be keeping it due to the hassle.HERE'S THE ACTUAL REVIEWBoth the hat and scarf are thicker than I thought and definitely will be great for keeping warm in winter. The scarf is 100% acrylic and the hat is 95% acrylic, 5% spandex for anyone sensitive to certain materials. The scarf has some extra weight in the form of the ironed-on patches for the UA on the ends of it, so you might not want to bunch the ends up.Also, while I see it now in the pictures shown, there's a bit of odd spacing for "ultra", with it looking like "UL TRA" instead. Not horribly noticeable, so I won't count off for it, but figured I'd point it out for anyone who might mind. This has the Funimation logo on the packaging too, so it being a product of their official merchandise is great and you know you're not getting some terrible knock-off (though I'm not certain if proceeds go back to the creator). I'm not anticipating any unraveling happening with the material, especially as it suggests you only hadwash them. Last thing about the scarf, its washing instructions are printed on a rather large and noticeable tag, so if you do cut it off, of course reserve it for later.I included a photo of myself wearing the items because I couldn't resist; they feel amazingly soft and thankfully aren't scratchy. If you are or you know someone who is a MHA/BNHA fan, I certainly recommend getting this for them. These were worth all the hassle to get them and now me and my mom can match :)Edit October 29th, 2020: Yet another thing about the scarf, lol. Neither mine, nor my mom's had the tassles on it. Two of the photos here shows tassles on the scarf but it doesn't have any, it's just an even edge. So if you were hoping to get a version with the fringes/tassles, I'm thinking that was an older version of this item.Edit 12/5/2020: My mom texted me today, now two months later, asking where I got this from as she now has co-workers asking to buy it because they really like hers! Not sure if they know this is from an anime but the design is so neutral, it looks like you could be the logo of some vague college sports team (which I love; it doesn't immediately scream weeb/anime otaku). So, looks like this seller might be getting some new business :)

I’m surprised at how beautiful the scarf and hat are. Very good quality!

The material was even nice quality than I thought it would be. I love the color and styling, tho the picture and some descriptions show gloves, this is just a hat and scarf set unfortunately.

My teen loves this set. It compliments her fandom, but is simple enough that if you aren't in the 'know' then it blends in like any other university apparel. She gets a kick out of wearing it out and getting acknowledged by other fans of the show. Warm and soft, good quality. We're satisfied!

The pictures show gloves included. I never bothered to read the full description, or I would have seen it was just a hat and scarf. Nice quality, but remove the gloves from the pictures, because they are irrelevantly to this product. Pretty sure my niece was hoping for matching gloves this Christmas, as she is the one who showed me the set she wanted. 😏 Guess I'll have to try to find some elsewhere.

Set was exactly as described. The fabric is pleasantly soft to the touch and the scarf is a good length. The color is accurate the the photo as well. Very good! I would recommend this to any fan of the tv show.
