40L Lightweight Packable Hiking Backpack, Waterproof Travel Daypack

This backpack works great as a personal item on flights, and then on the trail. The bottom front zipper pouch is perfect for the quart size liquids bag, and the numerous compartments and pockets make it easy to organize so finding your things is easier if TSA wants to see your chargeable devices. The back waterproof compartment is as deep as the bag, and my snorkel, mask, and short fins fit inside that with only a few inches sticking out the top which was fine when hiking and snorkeling on St John. The wide shoulder straps have never hurt my shoulders and I’m pretty lean. It has gotten a lot of use in the last 2 years and still looks and works great. I bought another one in black just to have another color for flying. Love it!

So many backpacks are very expensive. As a traveler who needs a medium size pack for a 3 week trip to Europe, this pack is absolutely perfect. It is a great price point, sturdy enough, soft enough to roll up and pack, and does't add to the weight of the carry on. It has good pockets, secure zippers and holds a great deal. I am very happy with it.

This bag worked wonderfully as a beach bag for our recent Florida trip. It is very lightweight and folds very compactly for traveling in a suitcase. Once expanded it is large! There are so many pockets for organization, and the wet pocket in the back is a huge plus if using as a beach bag. I was worried about the shoulder straps not being padded, but they ended up being quite comfortable! The shoulder straps are wide, and with the addition of the chest strap, I had zero problems loading this bag up and carrying it comfortably. This bag is absolute perfection in every way for what we needed it for. It's durable, too, and I know we will be using this for many years for our travel needs. I also think it would work well as a carry-on or personal item for plane travel unless you are carrying a laptop. There is no padded sleeve for protection, but since we were mainly using it as a beach bag, this was not a concern for us. Very happy with this bag!

Just got back from an epic two-week hiking escapade in Scotland, and I've got to give a massive shoutout to the Lightweight Packable Hiking Backpack – it's a real winner! Just a few things I wanted to call attention to in my review: Weather Warrior (Almost!): Scotland's weather is like a moody teenager, but this backpack mostly held its own. My stuff stayed mostly dry the whole time, in the exception of extreme down ours, which sometimes moisture would line the inside slightly, but this only happened once in a real drencher. No soggy socks or electronics emergencies – so that's a win! Room for All the Things: Looks can be deceiving – this bad boy swallows gear like there's no tomorrow. My clothes, gadgets, snacks – they all found a home. Plus, the sneaky pockets kept my map and munchies within arm's reach. One Tiny Quibble: If I had to nitpick, a little instruction on how to collapse this magic bag into its packable state would've been a cherry on top. It took some trial and error to figure it out, but once I did, it was smooth sailing. Bottom Line: It's earned its spot as my new favorite adventuring buddy! Or must I say my partner's, as they carried it most the time (haha), but it was comfortable, light weight, and the straps really helped with decreasing back pain. I would recommend this bag for anyone looking for an affordable pack for short hikes and overseas trips.

OMG I love this bag. I will never take a trip that requires packing more than fits in this bag. It weighs almost nothing in itself but feels sturdy enough to carry a full load. The pockets are thoughtful. The chest strap is useful. The color makes it hard to leave behind accidentally on a train, plane or Uber. My only suggestion for improvement would be to add a hip strap. I managed to do this by pilfering one off of my much smaller REI backpack.

I was looking for a backpack that would be durable and roomy with lots of pockets, but still be lightweight. This backpack checks all those boxes. There are two main zippered pockets - the one in the back is slightly than the front, but both are still quite large. The one in the front has two smaller slip pockets and one zipper pocket. The other has one large slip pocket and one zipper pocket. On the front of the bag there are two zipper pockets, and on the back there is a zippered dry pocket. I wasn't sure how I would like that, but it's actually really nice. It's big and easy to get into. There are mesh water bottle pockets on the sides, and I like that you can strap them in so they don't fall out. They're like little seat belts for your water :) The shoulder straps are comfortable, and there is a chest strap for added comfort. I find that when I use that, it makes the bag feel even lighter since it offers more support. There's a handy dandy emergency whistle on the straps. I haven't had need of it so I don't know how well it works, but it's a nice precaution. The zippers feel smooth and are easy to use. I got the purple, and the color is true to the photos. Beautiful deep purple.

Perfect day pack. A good number of pockets to keep things organized and easy to find whatever you need. Was out in steady rain for over an hour and everything stayed dry even though there is only one true waterproof compartment which is on the back which makes it great to keep valuables. Highly recommend.

Water seep in easily. Light weight and packs lots but the weight hurts the location between my neck and shoulder. The small lower outer pocket eats the space of the bottom of other larger outer pocket's space so it is difficult to find the stuff in the bottom of the larger outer pocket when I pack lots in the lower small pocket. The side mesh pocket are too shallow to place the water bottle. The bottom of the backpack does not hold the weight very well by sagging. Considering the price, this backpack is great but I am still looking for a better one.

This is a great little back pack. It is not a heavy bag to weigh down your shoulders and give you back pain at all. It is water proof, something I need here in Canada. It has multiple pockets that work well, and hold all the things I need to carry with me. Emergency supplies, a card wallet, paper towels and Kleenex for those wet seats on the Metro !! The straps are not a bulky affair and have a chest attach strap for weight moderation.
