Not exactly as described
I bought this stock pot not to use for cooking but because I needed a section of 10" Diameter aluminum tube about 3" long. The 4mm thickness was a big plus. Well upon cutting this Pot into three sections and measuring it the actual wall thickness below the band at the top is just a hair over 1.5mm so rather thin. The description should be changed to say 4mm thick rim. Or accurately describe the post as being 1.5mm thick.

It's giant!
Bought it as a Turkey sized scald tank and it did not disappoint. It's HUGE! If you want the water to heat faster you're gonna want to get the lid for it, sold separately. It came with 2 small dents on it but it's not like we wouldn't have dented it ourselves soon enough. Very thick and durable, quality material and sturdy handles.

Do not use for brewing beer wort.
Did not work for brewing beer. Heating water over ceramic top electric stove induced an electric current which resulted in the creation of about 3/8 inch of aluminum oxide in the bottom of the pot. Ruined a 5 gallon batch of beer wort. Will only use for canning, not cooking.

Wrong description, scratched
Listed it says 14 1/2 inches but it is 16 inches. My stove is 15 inches so that just puts this under what I need. Plus there was a fairly deep scratch on the inside. You get what you pay for and I think I can make this work. It would have been much better to have an accurate measurement before ordering though.

I use this for home brewing.
I purchased this for home brewing. I was using a 12qt pot before to brew. With that I was only able to brew half batches. Now I'm able to brew the entire batch all at once. From my understanding this should give my beer a more full flavor, I just haven't had the beer yet!Regardless if you are going to home brew this is a really great pot to purchase especially if your just getting started. This can be quite an expensive hobby, and this pot is going to make you happy if your brewing.I can imagine using this for other things, like a huge family reunion where your making a huge stew, gumbo or fish boil. One caveat, and this has nothing to do with that pot. Make sure that you have a heat source capable of heating this big boy, or else it will take you a while. And if your brewing make sure you have an immersion chiller or your never going to cool that wort fast enough.

Great pot, but dirty.
While it's a great pot, it came soooo dirty with scratches. It was a gift so it was embarrassing. The pot had no protection in the box like someone just thru it in. But it does the job.

Good commercial grade pot
I have a lot of larger pots but this one is my favorite. This is MUCH thicker than a lot of other brands at the same cost! I used an infrared thermometer and measured the heat on the sides of the pot while seasoning the pot as instructed. I was very impressed that the temperature between the side of the pot near the bottom was within 2 degrees of the pot near the top. Excellent even heat distribution only achieved by the thicker metal. Very impressed with the pot and would recommend to my friends and family!

Best pot out of colorado
Super heavy duty stock pot. I was surprised at the quality of this thing considering I scored it on sale for around $25. The pot itself is 10" in diameter and the aluminum is 1/4 thick. This thing would be right at home in one of the many restaurants I've worked at in the past 10 years. Being so big and thick, it takes some time to heat up but retains heat very well. I've been on a tight budget lately and I know the best nutritional bang for your buck is a big ol' pot of whatever veggies and meats are on sale. I've filled this thing to the brim making bolognese, curry, various chicken soups, chile (I live in NM and this is how we spell it, none of that chili business), and can't wait for my next project; Menudo! No stains on the aluminum. No leaks from the handles and I use the RSVP Endurance 18/8 Stainless Steel Universal Lid which sems to work quite well. Wouldn't recommend the lid for something that you need a tight seal/pressure on (beans, rice, etc) but it gets the job done for keeping heat and allowing steam out when reducing. If you're looking for a great stock pot that will last, this is it.

This pot is the perfect size for home canner
The size of this pot is perfect it allows the home canner to make up to 60 to 80 quarts of soup at a time .So no more having to make several batches to get your canning done in record time.

Too heavy, heats up the pot not the syrup.
It's a lot of aluminium and perfectly machined. But is not functional.
