This product worked wonders. I had something of a yeast infection throughout my small and large intestines causing ulcerative colitis. I suffered from sever anxiety, depression, fatigue, dizzyness, and memory problems. After two years of suffering, two allopathic (mainstream) medical doctors told me that I had a genetic immune condition that couldn't be helped and just accept this quality of life as normal. Of course, I didn't accept that "diagnosis." I found a naturopathic doc close to my home that advised me that I likely had a yeast infection and I need to treat it immediately. My medical history of recent antibiotics supported his diagnosis. He told me that recovering from a yeast infection takes months and not to expect results right away. He advised me to take this product along with milk thistle to support the liver in clearing out the aldehyde caused by yeast die off.Let me just say that it is some powerful medicine! The die off symptoms were immensely terrible, and included normal die off reactions and sudden abdominal burning pain at night (but rarely and required some walking to alleviate pain). After taking the medicine for a month, the symptoms subsided and I began to regain my lost energy. He then kept me on the milk thistle and prescribed difulcan and nystatin to reach the remote encalves of the infection. I also swoosh my mouth with coconut oil and few drops of oregano oil daily. After 4 months, I am even considering hitting the gym again. I feel like a survivor!To anyone who reads this, my message is simple: This stuff works. Just be careful, go paleo, and do your research.

Para-Gard has been doing a great job for me for about six years, to help me control stomach issues and reflux. Before that I used to have painful reflux episodes that went on for weeks. With Para-Gard I can stop these problems usually in about a day or two, and sometimes with just a single capsule. Other times several capsules over a couple of days (and probiotics).My particular problem seems to be low stomach acid so sometimes bad bacteria get past my stomach and cause big trouble. I take Betaine HCL supplements to reduce this issue, but still sometimes stuff gets through, and causes pain and reflux. And that's where Para-Gard is very handy. Once in a while I have die-off events and feel sick for a day. Before I found this product (and HCL and probiotics) I suffered and various mainstream doctors told me there was nothing they could offer.Para-Gard ingredients change from time to time, and I noticed that this most recent bottle has a different formulation than my previous bottle, which I bought two years ago. That bottle also had a different formulation from the one I had before that. I hope the most recent one that I have now works as well as the older ones.

My acupuncturist started me on Para-Gard to get rid of candidiasis, and within a few days I was good. Now I take one on an empty stomach before bedtime every evening, and my intestinal tract functions optimally. My MD took down the name Para-Gard so that she could suggest it to some of her patients with the same problem who are getting no relief from the big honking prescription lozenges. If you read the other reviews, you will see that Para-Gard is a wonderful natural herbal supplement promoting the health of the intestinal tract. I have been taking it for c. 15 months, and will continue to do so.

I have been using this from time to time for many years when I ate something that caused stomach/intestinal discomfort (bloating, gassy, indigestion, etc). My holistic MD also told me he takes this every time when he ate at restaurant. It's a precaution, and that works well for me, too. I use all kinds of supplements, but this is one of the most important herbs.

We have a bichon that every couple of months would experience terrible diarrhea and vomiting. We would do the rice and chicken diet and then he would be ok for a few weeks and then it would happen again. Our vet would put him on meds when it was severe and just said this is common in smaller dogs. I hated putting him on meds and so I started looking for an alternative. Our dog has been on para gard for over a year. I simply open the capsule and sprinkle some on his dinner every night. He has NOT been sick the entire time we started using para gard!! Its natural & its amazing!!

Prior to using para-gard my golden retriever would have bouts of uncontrollable diarrhea (bloody, mucus) occuring about every 3-4 months (this went on for about 3 years; vet had no answers just treatment for the acute symptoms).
