These are whole beef tendons at least the size I got were. That’s pretty cool. I used to see fresh ones at the market. But dang, I wish there wasn’t a place for beef tendon in human food markets so they wouldn’t cost as much. They lasted my dog a long time though. One of the longest lasting edible chews I’ve ever come across. My dog can destroy a bully stick in minutes. He can bite through nylabone chew toys in a night or two. With these he was still working on bits for multiple days. Was worth it but I don’t think I can afford these all the time.

My four month old golden is a big chewer, so I thought these would be a great choice. I know not to leave a dog unattended while using a chew. But he chewed the bottom 2/3rds of this into a soft, white goopy mess and was so crazed, he wouldn’t let me take it away. I have never not been able to dig something out of his mouth. He kept trying to swallow it to keep me from getting it. The noise he was making scared me as I thought he was going to choke to death. The third time I was able to catch him, I got enough of a hold to pull it out of his throat and mouth. The whole thing had turned from a thin looking innocuous treat into a 10” thick gelatinous, fibrous choking hazard. It swells and soften with chewing. I feel lucky to have gotten it out of his mouth before he swallowed it or choked on it. I do not recommend. I don’t even think I would trust a full grown dog with this. A full bag minus 1 chew and a full unopened bag are going in the trash because even the unopened one cannot be returned to Amazon. Expensive mistake and I otherwise have been happy with Pupford products. Not this one.Edit to add: Pupford contacted me and offered a full refund. Very kind of them. Their training treats are fantastic, and I will continue to buy those. This review is a warning to those like me unfamiliar with tendon treats!

If you look at the picture I’ve been able to figure a way out to extend these tendons. You need a vice grips, good pair of gloves, and a sawzall! You can cut the tendons into halves or thirds, and then you can extend these treats for over a month. Great on her stomach, haven’t seen a problem. She is a very very aggressive chewer. She’s an Australian shepherd and can eat through a Himalayan cheese stick in a day and a half. But I love Putford products and their brand!

Have you ever smelled a zoo in your house? Don’t worry, if you open these and give them to your pup you will. It’s disgusting! It’s clear that my dogs enjoy them but I literally am nauseous from smelling them that I feel like I’ve wasted my money as I can’t give them not one dang more!!!!

I have a Doberman puppy and well he’s a shark… so these are a game changer for keeping him occupied. Trust this guy gets 3 walks a day plus fetch at the park and he still wants to chew on ME! He loves these things because he is teething right now and it takes him multiple days to get through one of them. They smell like a butcher shop but I think that’s why the pups are so attracted to them. Love them because my pup loves them and we’ve tried most of pupfords treats!

I tried these out by buying a three pack, and my puppy loves them so much that I bought the bigger pack. They were much smaller compared to the first bag I got. Most were about 1/2 the size, but some about 1/3 the size. Only 2 were as large as the first package I had bought. Kind of a disappointment.But, the pup loves them, so I guess we'll keep them.UPDATE: Pupford reached out to me and refunded my money because I was dissatisfied. The customer service is nice. I will try again and see.

5 month old large breed puppy devours them quickly now, within 5 minutes. They used to last for days when he was younger. Switched to the Turbo tendons so we’ll see how long those last. My puppy is swallowing them whole now after 5 min and it seems dangerous.

I thought they would be similar to ones I bought in the pet store but my dogs don’t even want these ones seem to have big pieces of fat on them and very greasy

My dog loved this product however he started having trouble chewing it and I noticed a long piece of it was logged in his throat. He didn't make a sound so I didn't notice he was having trouble swallowing the pieces until I noticed the piece that wasn't eaten was hanging out of his mouth. If you decide to use this product, watch your dog carefully for any signs of trouble.
