Good tool, very bad handle design.
Good tool, bad handle design! I filled the bag with fine gravel to 20 kg. The shape of the bag is good, I started a workout of swings and snatches. The swings were ok but when I started the snatches the handle, because is too soft, started to bite very badly into the skin of my hands (see attached picture). I partially solved the problem by making it more stiff using a piece of garden pipe and some tape. I think the bag would work much better if it had a rigid handle.

I also like to do overhead throws from time to time in ...
Let me start by saying that I am a huge fan of the Brute Force Sandbags (I own 2 of them). I purchased their version of a kettlebell thinking it would enhance my kettlebell training by allowing me to work on dynamic movements, that could lead to me launching the KB across my gym. I also like to do overhead throws from time to time in my backyard, but doing so leaves some nice indentations in my lawn. I thought that this thing would be ideal for that exercise as well. Upon receiving it, I attempted to fill it to capacity (45 lbs.) and found that it was almost impossible to do so. It was so overfilled, that the bag itself was getting in the way of the handle. I took some sand out and began to experiment. The second thing that disappointed me was the sand clouds it makes when it hits the ground...due to a lack of an inner lining. I took all the sand out and made my own liner (garbage bag) and re-filled the KB. Now the thing weighs 30 lbs. and is really too light for me to do anything with. Thankfully, it is just the right weight for my wife. By no means is this thing a bad concept...it just didn't work for me.***Update*** I gave up on sand and filled the bag with some old lengths of chain that I had laying around my garage. By doing this, I got it to weigh approximately 60 lbs. This is a pretty good weight for me to do overhead throws with. After one use, I broke the snap buckle that keeps the bag closed. Not a problem that a zip tie couldn't fix. I now have a use for this thing and it doesn't leave indentations in my lawn!

Good quality if you really need/want this
As other reviewers have mentioned, filling it completely with sand will only give you about 35 lbs max weight. If you want to get it to 45 lbs, you will have to find a more dense media to fill it with. For the weight, it is very bulky compared to a similar weight iron kettlebell. It's at least as large if not larger than a 48 kg iron kettlebell. The opening to fill it is rather small. One pro is that it is good for training on more delicate floors such as wood, tile, linoleum, etc. If traveling by air, you could empty it and refill it when you get to your destination. Good quality materials and construction. Since it is a sandbag, it is more unstable than a regular iron kettlebell and harder to control, so it is more challenging.

Get the brute force sandbag instead
Not very effective as a kettlebell. American swings aren't possible, Russian swings can be done with caution as the kettlebell when filled becomes very bulky and you stance is much wider than it would be normally. It's good for some movements but the bulkiness is still very awkward. I got and 18k bag of sand 90% in the kettlebellThe handle to fill the chamber had a tendency to get in the way after that point, it doesn't stay tucked in. The material is good and seems durable, i probably should have ordered the sandbag instead.

Not for strongman
Horrible, lasting only 4 throws for sandbags over bar. Definitely not for strongman. Spend the extra money on rogue

Really disappointing
These are not decent kettle bell replacements. The non firm nature of a material/sandbag system makes for problematic usage when performing typical kettlebell exercises.Filling these is a total pain... They also don't fill to the specified weights. When partially filled they are even worse when used.

Surprised at how small they are. Look much bigger on ordering page.
I thought the Kettlebells were larger. The pictures depicted on the page appear to give the image of the item a larger look. When I received the Kettlebells ( ordered 2 ) I was surprised how small they were. They appear to be very well made, but again I could not justify the high cost for such a small item. I immediately returned them for a refund.

Worth The Extra Cost
There is a reason I keep paying more for Brute Force they make a superior product. There is better attention to small details or finish of the bags and much better closers. Sand never leeks outside the bag.
