A little difficult gameplay for a 5 year old...but a cool game
Let's face it, most kids that are into "Dusty" and Planes are in the 3 to 6 year old range...this game is a little on the difficult side for that age range, at least for a 5 year old anyway. I played the game with him and, without my help this would have been tossed aside within minutes as it would just be too technical for that age range of gamer. I like the game though, and assuming that he is still into the "Dusty Crophopper" story when he learns how to complete the missions, this is a good game. I knock off one star only because it may be a little beyond its targeted audience in difficulty...parents helping is a must to play this game, at least at first...time will tell if the learning curve plays out well.

Great game for those who love Disney's Planes
I purchased this game for my 3-yr old and tried it out first. I changed the sensitivity settings on the game to easy for better control and it worked well (very similar to flying on Wii Resort). My 3-yr old was used to it after about 10 minutes and did fairly well (as well as a 3-yr old can do) he only plays a couple hours a week and he can clear many boards on his own.Character development in this game is good and matches the movie well. Only downfall is that after achieving goals in some boards there is no further instruction so we just fly around waiting for what's next and end up closing it and choosing a different board. Overall good purchase.

Fun game...
This game is pretty cool, I bought it for my son that is 8. They have the actors that are in the movie as voice overs. At least some of them I'm not sure about all of them. That makes the game pretty fun. I bought Peguins of Madagascar too and they didn't have the actors voice overs on the game. They didn't have anyone's voices just caption. As for this game it seems easy to play and even for my it's pretty fun. I would recommend it for children that are around 6 and up. I have a 4 year old and he like to play but can't progress in the game and then he gets pretty frustrated. In all a pretty fun game.

Good Game Overall
Not the best game out there but it is entertaining and my kids like it. My 5 year old was very frustrated at first with the training mode at the beginning. Once I sat down with him and played for a few minutes he was ok. Very easy game and not much value as far as gameplay but it is a simple game to play and have some fun. Won't last that long compared to games like Skylanders.

Fun enough for a father and son
My eight year old son and I have found this game to be a fun one to play together. As others have noted, if you adjust the sensitivity of the controls, it seems to make it a bit easier to fly the planes; otherwise, it is just a matter of not "over-steering". Completing the different challenges are not overly difficult. We particularly like the one where you pop the balloons.

An excellent game for an aspiring pilot!
We bought this as a birthday present for our 9 year old. He loved the Cars movies as well as the Planes movie. The scenes are beautiful and quite frankly his favorite thing to do is choose a plane and just fly. We did turn down the flying sensitivity per another review and that made the difference for him in playability.

Where most games in this genre are easy and almost repetitive
As games based on animated movies go, This game stands out. Where most games in this genre are easy and almost repetitive, this game manages to keep fresh until the end and have a decent amount of challenge, yet not so much challenge that makes it too hard for a child to complete. In the grand scheme, its a collection of mini games. But it's still a fun game, even for me, and I'm 22. If you have a Wii and you or your child is a fan of Planes, Get this today.

Fun to Fly - no need for pilot's license!
A lot of fun to fly the plane around different areas, some in the fields in the mid-west, some in tropical climates around beaches, some in mountainous regions in Europe. You can adjust the sensitivity of the remote in settings on the game if flying the plane is a bit tricky at first. The flying of the plane is extremely similar to the flying of the planes in Wii Resort which I highly enjoyed in that game but just longed for more scenic places to fly - which are available through this game.
