There are two kinds of cats in this world....
There are two types of cats in this world and I have used these on both of them. First, my kitten. She is almost a year old and we have been using these since she was about 3 months old. My husband was insistent we get her declawed - I convinced him to let me try this first. These have worked so well on her we skipped the declawing and we all live happily together without any claw damage to our home! She is amazing - a couple of treats and she sits on my lap and we have learned together this can be a painless, simple process. They stay on for several weeks at a time and I rotate the colors so I can keep track of any that may get stuck and need some help coming off after 6 weeks or so. She doesn’t bother with them and goes about playing and “scratching” her post normally. Now the second kind of cat... my mom owns this one and to say she was desperate to not only save her furnature, but also her skin was an understatement. I raved about my success with these so much she ordered them without hesitation! Well... to say it didn’t go well is an understatement. Also a kitten, I thought this would go as well as my baby. Boy was I wrong!! We ended up bitten, scratched, and with fingers glued together... not kidding.... Any caps we did get on this one looked at us and promptly pulled off and went about her destructive ways. The moral of the story? These work AMAZING if your kitty will play along. Some cats will not tolerate the process or having them on, but that’s not the products fault. Definetly give them a try and start young if you can.

Easy to install
We decided to try these nail caps on our cat who claws the baseboards in the middle of the night, tearing up the wood and paint. I expected him to notice the caps, run around in a panic, and sprint out the door not to be seen for a week (this is what he did the one and only time we put a collar on him). So we tried just a couple to start with. He actually fell asleep while my daughter put them on. When done, he got up and went to his food dish, and sauntered around like nothing was different. He didn't even notice!! So great. So we capped the rest of his front nails. They stayed on for over a month, then one by one we would find the caps on the floor. When he was down to two remaining caps on his claws, we installed a whole new set yesterday. I'm not sure how long we will keep up with reinstalling new ones, but for now we have lots left and it's easy to do.Unfortunately, he went right back to the baseboards as soon as he had a few claws exposed again. Someone told me they tried these on their cat because it was clawing the side of her couch. 6 wks with the caps installed apparently broke him of the habit, or he forgot, because after the caps fell off, he never went back to clawing!! She is lucky. Guess the final outcome depends on the cat.

Not that difficult to put on and last pretty good.
This was my first time trying these. My two four-month-olds were tearing up my house so I was willing to try it. I clip their claws regularly so that may have helped with them allowing me to put the caps on. It was a bit of a challenge but I was able to get them on the front paws of both cats without too much trouble. Just be careful not to insert too much glue, which is basically super glue, as you end up with it causing things you don’t want stuck together to stick together. It’s been about a week since I applied and each cat has lost one cap, which I replaced easily. I got size small for these two but I think it would have been better if I got them medium. I will continue to use them until at least until they grow up and mellow out. One of the cats did lick his paws right after I applied them, trying to get them off, but I distracted him with treats and he forgot about them within a short while. Neither cat has messed with them at all since then.

You gotta know what tf you’re doing.
I hated these. I’ve installed them, somebody else has installed them that does these on their own cat, and I had a groomer install these. My cat can only keep 2 of these on out of the 8 we put on, we don’t place on the dew claw. I’m not sure if I got a bad glue batch because so many of my friends absolutely love these. But I have tried these for now 2 months and I don’t want to declaw my cat but considering I watch him rip them off a day after they have been on it’s become an option now. My boyfriend hates cats, because they ruin furniture. So he agrees to me having my favorite house pet as long as they are front declawed. We sought this option to hopefully not front declaw but again my cat has on only 2/8 nails and he’s climbing up the backs of my couches with his nails instead of using his scratchers and kitty trees that we have ALL over our house. I may spoil my cats better than my s/o...😉

My Cats Take The Caps Off!
The colors are super cute, but my cats will take the nails off within 3-4 days of me gluing them on. The worst part is when I'm at work and my cats remove some nail caps. One day I came home to my couch all scratched up. I finished these little packs but I had to check their caps every single day to see if there were any loose caps or if any fell off so I could replace them. I recommend using Soft Claws. I made the switch and my cats have not been able to get those off yet...it's been 3 weeks!

15-week-old kitten.
I have a 15-week old kitten and he did so well! i’m actually shocked from reading all the reviews i was a little nervous on how he would act. But to my surprise he did great. If i had to give you a tip for you is to do it when they have a full belly and are about to take a nap. The main reason i got these is because he tends to scratch my face when i sleep. I know it’s not his fault but it does hurt! But a plus on these too is that i have a super senior cat and dog. So now i don’t have to worry about him scratching and hurting them. Especially since my super senior cat is declawed (not my choice my parents did it). so far 10/10!

Good product, wish more glue included
Great fit on the trimmed front nails of my cat (cat was safely premedicated). Only complaint is that the glue included in the package isn’t re-sealable, so you don’t get as much glue compared to the number of caps provided. Had to take to my vet to apply the rest/get recommendations on safe glue to use.
