My sister and I got these each year for our birthdays when we were growing up. My sister has a little girl, so now she gets her own set, too! It’s nice to continue a tradition.

granddaughter love this get her one ever year

I've been buying the Growing Up Girls ever since my eldest granddaughter was born. She will turn 15 next month. She's since had 2 sisters one is 11 and the other is 4. I've continued the tradition for them all. All 3 of them have the statues on shelves in their rooms and they are all really excited to get them each birthday. I have only one complaint and that is there are only Caucasians. My two eldest granddaughters are half Hispanic and it would be nice to include girls of color. In fact for my eldest granddaughter I color the statue's hair black, so it sort of looks like her. The brown hair is OK for the 11-year-old and although she is lighter skinned than her older sister, she is still brown. My youngest granddaughter is only a half sister to the older girls and while she is very fair skinned, she's not blonde. Her hair is strawberry blonde or very light red. Needless to say she gets the blonde statue. I can only imagine what goes into reconfiguring production lines. And I'm sure that you would expect lower sales of these dolls that represent the diversity of our country, but you might be surprised. Maybe many people aren't buying because the dolls are all Caucasian. Just a thought. Bottom line my grandkids love them and always look forward to getting them on their birthdays.

Looks just like the picture, quick shipping. I collected these as a child and i now get them for my daughter. The quality is the same is was 30 years ago. The paint job on them is better than some other porcelain figurines I have seen.

I’m so excited to start the tradition of giving my daughter one of these Enesco dolls for each birthday. Price is great and comparable to what you’d spend in the store for the same item.
