Was the answer to my toilet dilemma
I had a company install it so I can't say much about installation. My problem was that where I wanted a bathroom, I didn't want to use a normal toilet and have to tear up the concrete floor in order to go into the existing stack. This toilet was my solution (I didn't want a grinder toilet either) and this toilet setup allowed the plumber to go through the wall into the stack --no concrete tear-up needed. It does flush really well, but like other people said the plastic side covers don't stay on.

NO bidets available for mortals ...
We installed this tank and were about to buy a kohler wall toilet when I thought, "What about a bidet seat?" Bidet seats start at $250, but once you go the Kohler route, there are NO bidet seats that are compatible with these proprietary lock-in products, if you go with the K-6300 with a different wall-tank, there is ONE $1300 "smart" seat. Once you buy Kohler, they turn you upside down and shake you until your pockets are empty. I contacted TOTO and all 10 of their bidet seats work with all 2 of their wall-mount systems (just avoid the Toto MH which has a similar proprietary lock-in problem ...)

Space-Saving Bathroom Additiom
I just finished installing the K6284 toilet carrier and the K6299 toilet in my second floor bathroom so I could remove the false ceiling in the lower floor's bathroom that I'm remodeling - a LOT of work, but worth the effort.Pros:- The carrier is very solid in the wall if the installation instructions are followed.- It flushes very well, and the tank only takes about 10 secs. to refill.- The carrier came with a chrome-plated plastic flush plate.-Toilet tank is insulated to prevent condensation from accumulating in the wall.Cons:- One issue I encountered, which seems to be true of most wall-hung toilets, is that the outlet pipe is 4" in diameter, but my main stack is only 3". So, I had to install an increaser/reducer, which meant that I had to modify the main stack in my case. Not really a "con", but I wish I'd known beforehand.- The installation instructions and the rough-in guide have two different measurements for the location of the outlet pipe relative to the front of the sole plate - it should be 3 3/4" to the center of the pipe; Kohler is aware of this documentation error.- The installation instructions left out adding plumber's grease to the rubber gasket on the carrier's outlet pipe. This is necessary so that the pipe slides inside the main stack riser; the Kohler video posted on YouTube made it apparent: http://youtu.be/0l7c0G4PACYOverall, this has been a good addition to my home.Video 1 of 2 of my installation: http://youtu.be/HF9NpSha2UUVideo 2 of 2 of my installation: http://youtu.be/JvFINthiCOE

Saves on space and the only way to get our toilet to work. This was a renovation where prior owner filled waste line up with concrete and we modified the stack to hook in with this in-wall tank and carrier...

Great toilet
Wish I could go back and do my other 2 bathrooms with this toilet. I've tested it's flushing ability and it's passed every time ; )

There are also plastic parts, saving space
Installation instructions are well explained. For this reason, we mounted it by following the installation instructions. I wanted it to be sturdy while remodeling the bathroom. It is a product that I have felt its solidity right up to now.It fills the water tank in 10 seconds.Since the toilet tank is insulated, condensation did not cause any problems on the wall.Since the diameter of the outlet pipe did not fit, I had to work to make it fit. It is necessary to know this.I like its stylish stance and design. My plumber did all the work easily.
