Would this be sturdy/good for sweeping carpets?

Yes it’s a very sturdy broom + can be used on most flooring textures

it is not straight Bristle at the bottom, is it only mine or they intended to do that?

Mine is straight, but there is not much strength in the bristles and they curve as you try to sweep.

Would this make a good yard brush? For cleaning up fallen moss from the rooftop.

The brush is not bad but the pan is useless. The handle slots into the pan but slips out with the slightest pressure - the pan is not at right angles to the handle so there is inevitable pressure even placing it on the ground.
