Horrible experience with Walker Edison and with the bed.
From the moment the bed came in there were problems. First being missing boards. Before Walker Edison would send missing boards, I was to take about 15 specific pictures proving my claim (shipping labels, order numbers, all the items received, etc.) This was a Christmas gift for my daughters, so to ensure a smooth transition I paid for overnight delivery. Walker Edison however, did not overnight or expedite in any way the missing boards. Their old bed was taken out to have room to put the bunk beds together. With all of the delays, they were without a bed for two weeks after starting back to school. Now that the beds are here and put together, they have fallen apart TWICE, with my girls in them, thought neither were hurt. The posts of the bed are actually cracking and there are many spots where holes were drilled in the wrong place and filled in with some sort of paper, then painted over to appear solid.Of course it's been about 45 days since my purchase so there is nothing I can do.

Not that sturdy. Difficult to assemble. Good price
I bought this for my kids bedroom after researching a lot. So I am disappointed with this after using it for couple of months.Pros:1) Looks nice when compared to other steel frames2) Cheap price when compared to other more expensive wooden frame beds.3) Bottom bed to top bed space is just ok. I am 5.7 and when I sit on the bottom bed, my head almost touches the top bed.Cons:1) Extremely difficult to assemble. It took us(me and my wife) almost 6-8 hours to assemble it.2) Not that sturdy. It only allows 200lbs on each bed. So whenever I sit on the bed with my family to play board games etc, my wife gets scared the bed might break and gets up from the bed.So only one adult can sit on it. We did not realize this will be a problem before we bought it.3) Absolutely no jumping on the beds. It is tough to control the kids to stop them from jumping on the beds, particularly when they are on the top bed. We had to literally scare our son that the bed will break to stop him from jumping on top bed. Now he is scared to even sleep on top bed.4) The ladder is fragile. Every time my kids try to go to the top bed, we hear creaking sounds while using the ladder which is unsettling.5) Slats used for the bed are not that sturdy. While assembling, the slats needs to be pinned to the bed frame. But you need to be careful to place each slat exactly in middle of the two ends of bed frame. Otherwise, if you align it with one end of the frame, you cannot pin it to the other end of the frame properly(If you do not understand it and ignore this, you will understand it while assembling :) ).Also, when my kid sleeps on top bed, I see the slats bending slightly.Overall, my advice is that consider this bed if you are fine with handling difficult/laborious assembling, use this bed exclusively for kids and you have great mannered kids who will not jump on the bed. Otherwise, lookout for other bed frames which are sturdier. I did not try other wood bunk beds so these problems might still be there with other wooden bunk beds. I considered couple of steel framed bunk beds that looked very sturdy, but my wife did not like the way they looked and said if I bring in a steel framed bed inside the house, I will stay outside. So I did not have choice of buying steel framed beds.

It's a good set, has directions for 3 different variations of setting it up. My complaint is it's too many pieces. I'm a professional fixer guy by day and this thing just took forever. Tearing it back down is pretty easy. The bottom bunk doesn't have much head room, my 6 year old daughter can barely sit up on the bottom bunk without hitting her head on the top.

Good for nothing
This bed sucks. The shipment came in to different shipments on separate days. Installation took forever and not everything was in the manual n some holes on the boards were missing and so were some screws. ITS SUPER WEAK!!! its only been three days and it is already broken and my daughter only weighs 100 lbs. I would recommend this to NO ONE! waist of money and time!!

poor hardware
The hardware mainly the allen head screews are junk, once they go it you will not get them out, thus leaving it impossible to move the bed later or correct assymboly errors I had to jimmy rig several steps, one allen head was lacking the allen cut out and not a single spare screew in the hardware kit.

Decent Bed, Kind of a headache to assemble
Here's the bottom line...if you have some skill with hardware/a drill/assembly and don't mind a challenge, this bed is pretty sturdy and nice looking when it's assembled. But it took about 6-8 hours for me. I had to get special hardware at a hardware store and drill 8 of the main holes myself because part of the bed was essentially a piece of lumber. It was missing the holes on one side of the top bunk where the guardrails are attached as well as the holes where the ladder attaches to the top bunk. I could have sent it back and got replacement parts, but I needed it set up right away. So, I fabricated the rest myself. If you don't mind that, it's a good bed for the price.
