Update - just realized that when you actually mount it on a tripod, the base spins freely with no way to keep it from flopping around because the rotation lock doesn't work. No good.Still works okay as a standalone mount sitting on a desk or maybe if your tripod head has a rubber anti-slip kind of gasket.-----------This little flex head is actually surprisingly good for the price. The aluminum parts are machined well and all the joints feel really smooth and nice.However, mine did come assembled backward. It was also missing a screw. The rubber feet on the bottom sit too low to do any good - they can be unscrewed somewhat, but then they're loose and rattle-y. The pan lock screw does absolutely nothing on mine, no matter hard you tighten it - it doesn't lock. It also sits too tall if you try to use the head just flat on a table without a tripod. The 3/8" to 1/4" adapter it comes with also sits too proud of the bottom surface, so if you mount it to a 1/4" -20 tripod you don't really get a stable mount because the actual bottom aluminum surface won't touch.That all said, I took off and turned the arms 180 degrees, replaced the missing screw, took out the pan lock thumbscrew, will probably add extra felt or rubber bumpers on top of the existing too-short ones, and now I have a really nice feeling, well built unit for less than half the price of the name brand that it's copying.

I've been using this a lot in conjunction with a Photography Tripod Light Stand. The threaded mount on the bottom of this works perfectly with my light stand threaded mount. I'm using this along with a cell phone mount to let me go hands free when I live stream in my garage. I have the ability to move the phone in just about any direction and it's very stable and secure holding my Iphone 13 Pro Max with a case on it as well. I have a tripod that has a detachable leg to use as a monopod, the screw head is a 3/8x16 when detached. This mini ball head is just perfect for using with the monopod. No extra adjusters, just screws right on and is ready for use. The knob is big and easy to use, the ball movement is really good, and it tightens up really well. I will definitely be buying more of these from this brand as the need arises.

For the price, this is a decent tripod head. I am using it on a spotting scope and it is sufficiently strong.

This is a very nice ball head. I have used it for quite a few hours now. The ball head has never come loose and moves around smoothly when you loosen it.

I have a few of these from different makers. This one had the potential to be my favorite but it has two flaws. First the rubber feet don't stick out enough to grip the surface it's sitting on. Second, when you do set it flat the rotation adjustment screw sits too far down that it causes it to rock back and forth because it can't sit flat.Otherwise, attach it to a tripod or slider and it's great!2021-0628 Updated.I just realized that the it will sit flat and will not slide if you adjust the 4 individual feet underneath it.The feet don't look adjustable but they will turn counter clock wise so they can make contact with whatever it's sitting on. Upgrading my rating from 4 star to 5 star.

Purchased for basic stable swivel ability with mono-pod. For use when a tripod is not needed, but basic stability of a mono-pod is.

Works great on my mini dolly-car. Note that it's all metal, so a bit on the heavy side considering the size of it. (It matters to me as I'm carrying my filming gear for backpacking trips and each gram counts) I got another ball head, smaller and lighter that works better for my needs, but I'm not returning this one. It's a good product.

This is a study product and does what is intended. Mine came with many noticeable aesthetic scratches, but nothing that affects its performance. As it is black paint on top of aluminum, the paint will continue to chip off with wear.For a versatile and compact mount, it’s a good product to have with your kit.

Lo pensé al comprarlo pero quede sorprendido con este cabezal ya que no le pide nada al de Joby, es solido, resistente, tiene buen agarre, la bola giratoria gracias al peso obtiene muy buena estabilidad y el adaptador de zapata es un excelente plus
