When you choose the French language and press the number 5 it says the F word. Also, when you choose the music option, and press the number buttons it plays scary sounds and a message saying “I want to kill...” but I can’t make out the rest. I’ve contacted Amazon and they are investigating this product and seller.

The remote looked like my remote which is exactly what I needed for my curious 8 month old. When it arrived it didn’t work with any of the brand batteries I had. I decided to give it to my daughter anyway and she put it in her mouth and the paint got in her mouth!!! This is not appropriate for teething babies or any babies to say the least!

It's very realistic looking and is a great decoy for the real remote. BUT....As another reviewer already said. The French "5" is not the French word for 5, which is "cinq". It's not even close. It sounds like the English vulgar f-word. Also, you can clearly hear "I want to kill" but the last part isn't clear. I am ticked about this. Will be returning.

Honestly this thing sounds like it is saying the F Word . Almost like it is saying it in different tones and speeds . Bought this for my Grandson he was playing with it and I kept hearing the F Word . Thought it was just me until other family members said the same thing . It’s in the landfill by now ! Amazon should boot this product or be honest and say toy remote that will teach your kid various ways to say the F Word .

This toy has kept my niece who is 1 entertained since she got it. My sister is asked by many many others where she found it, she is obsessed with remotes and this one keeps her hooked. Only down fall is there is no off switch for the noise and it can seem loud at times. Great gift and great toy!

I ordered this for my 10month old because it looked so realistic. The first one I received did not work so I ordered a replacement. Returning it was easy and they sent me the replacement quickly. Unfortunately, the second one also didn't work. I began wondering if I was doing something wrong. My husband and I spent about 30 minutes trying different batteries, pushing different buttons and watching videos on YouTube and from other peoples reviews on Amazon. Alas, it wasn't us...it was the remote. As for the controller itself. It looks realistic and if your kid doesn't mind it not making noise then this is the toy for you. We didn't have issues with peeling paint like others. We will keep this because our son likes it.

For those making a fuss over profanity, it's just saying 'sanc,' which is French for five.For those making a fuss over anything else, they're probably right. I'm okay giving my baby toys that make sounds, but not toys that are piercingly loud and more distorted than a landline phone call to Pyongyang. Save your money and just dig a VCR remote out of your junk drawer.

Like other people with young babies, I was looking for something that looked very similar to my Xfinity remote because that is the only thing my son wants to play with at 11 months old! This one seemed to look almost exactly like the one I have so I decided to order it. It came pretty fast despite the pandemic going on. I was already aware that reviews stated it had odd sounds but I guess I wasn’t quite prepared for how freaking loud it is when the batteries are in it! It really needs a volume control button somewhere on it, as well as a power on or off feature. I appreciate the fact that it has a screw on battery back so that my son can’t access the batteries. But it is very annoying to have to remove the batteries all the time just to shut the darn thing up. He was quite convinced that it was a real remote, although when I take the batteries out (so that we can have a quiet night), he knows it’s not the real thing (no lights). It is really cute though and I would recommend it, just don’t put the batteries in there. The sounds are obnoxious and he can’t hardly even tell what they are saying. I also don’t know why it has three different languages to choose from… although I guess if you wanted to teach your kiddo how to say their numbers in three different languages, this could work…
