"KO Version" Transformer Masterpiece MP-21 BumbleBee Volkswagen & Daniel

So check this out! This KO Masterpiece Bumblebee is awesome! Or at least the one I recieved anyway!The vender I bought him from was especially nice and kept me up to date on any unexpected development. So I give them AND the figure a 5-Stars. Only reason why I gave it a 4? Is because of Amazon. For some odd reason, it kept on saying the tracking information was unavailable for a good few days. But when it finally updated, all it said was that it was in USUSJFKF. And it stayed like that on my end all the way until he was delivered. But on the plus side, the vendor was more than willing to supply me any new information. Even told me that it might be a little bit late because of Winter Storm Jonas.Now onto the item. Masterpiece Bumblebee!The figure himself came with a pistol, two interchangeable face plates, two insertable Rear View Mirrors and a Spare Tire Add-On. He also came with a Daniel Figure in the Exosuit which was introduced in the 1986 movie (If you havent watched it...shame on you! Go watch it right now!).The overall size of Bumblebee is actually fairly small. If you are familiar with all the different size Classes (Mini-Con/Scout/Deluxe/Voyager/Ultra/Leader/Supreme/Titan), Bumblebee in Robot Mode stands between a Scout and Deluxe Class. Daniel is about the size of Masterpiece Frenzy and Rumble (between 2" and 3" in height). His vehicle mode does not quite resemble the classic Volkswagon Beetle we know today, nor in the G1 series, but is still a magnificent VW nonetheless.In robot mode his hands, arms, legs, feet, head as well as his torso are very articulate. However despite that, every figure has limitations. But the amount detail that was put into my KO Masterpiece, is about as good as the genuine article. As for the Daniel Figure, he does not have a face painted on him because the head piece is literally just that small. However this figure is not quite as mobile as Bumblebee. During transformation from vehicle to suit mode, you have to take off the clear cone piece. I do not know if anyone else encountered this but that piece does tend to pop off from time to time. But it does stay in place so be aware of that. Arms have limited mobility but the legs are the most moveable.As for the price, I HIGHLY recommend the KO version over the original simply because it cost me $35. To pay $65-$80 for a Masterpiece figure that stands at, maybe 5 inches tall is too much. So, if you want to go for the genuine article, go ahead and spend that cash. Nearly indistinguishable from the real thing.. until you start playing with it. Paint work is a bit sloppy, some of his pieces aren’t held together all that well, I was sent two of the same faces (both were blank faced, one is supposed to be smirking) and Daniel... well... he fell apart almost instantly and felt like he was made of chalk... BUT Bumblebee did have his G1 toy face and collectors card included which is a plus! Easy to Transform for a masterpiece but about what you’d expect for a knock-off. That being said, I’d rather pay the K.O. price than the official Hasbro masterpiece.

The design and details of Bumblebee's car and robot mode are great. However, I can not say the same for Spike. Another point is to be gentle to handle them when you are transforming into robot or vehicle. The plastic material is flimsy and some parts are loose, like the Bumblebee's back bumper, the black license plate, and Spike's arms.

Good KO toy. Joints are tight. Issue is the paint of the toy. I received the toy. Transformed toy to robot and the paint on his nose is gone, his hand also snapped out. I have yo get a screw driver to fix it. Transformed it to car mode and some panels wont flush anymore (his backpack, roof of the car).Paint splashes on the windshield when painting the hood of the car. Daniel toy (exosuit) arms,legs, helmet keeps popping off. Would be good for display.

Nice Toy, looks close to the original but paint is less consistent and the transformation is not as tight. In car mode the side panels do not line up as well. The Spike figure is junk, however the Bumblebee is worth the $20 spent. It is close enough to the original but on close inspection noticeably lower quality.

So, I bought this along with wheel jack and smoke screen. I figured I would try out the smaller kos first. Everyone of the transformers were perfect. The boxes were perfect too, except bumble bee’s box. The clear shiny film that goes over photos was shifted about half an inch. The only other minor complaint would be the Daniels clear piece over his head is very cloudy. I don’t care about Daniel and anyone buying these is not a hardcore collector, they do t care about the box. The items were bought and delivered in 11 Days. Great quality. It deserved a five star rating because I got exactly what I wanted for less than half the price and it was fast. Now to get a bigger ko.

What a great product! I was concerned about buying the KO version. But now I must say I'm so glad I saved the money by going this way! Great figure, perfect transformation and can't complain about the quality one bit... BestGrey is an awesome seller! Super fast delivery. I can't wait to fulfill the rest of my KO Masterpiece wish list!

We rarely leave reviews but are so happy with this figure that we HAD to leave a review. The price point of this KO is much lower than a regular Takara but the quality is identical. We have multiple Takara toys but we will be buying these figures from this seller moving forward. The toy is high quality, great paint, nice chrome, amazing accessories and perfect packaging. We received our order in less than ten days. This seller is amazing and we will ABSOLUTELY buy additional transformers from him. Great little bumble bee figure and nice Spike figure.
