Fun for all.
We enjoy sitting together to hunt for the hiding elves and Santa. Even the 2 year old loves this.

Where's Santa vs Where's the Elf
I ordered this and Where's Santa at the same time. We looked at Where's Santa first and then opened this one. At first, I was very disappointed to see that all of the scenes from Where's Santa were in this book (plus 6 new ones). But as my son and I looked at the 2 books side by side, we quickly noticed that, although the scenes are the same, santa and the elves are in different spots! So I really appreciated that the author and illustrator put effort into moving the characters around so it wasnt exactly the same as the other book. The elves are different characters as well than from the Where's Santa book. The additional checklist items are mostly the same in both books but I did see a few changes. Would have made it even better if the checklist items were also in different locations but so far I haven't seen any differences. As far as difficulty goes, this is easier than Where's Waldo, but it is challenging enough to still be fun. For reference, my son is 8. He did have to look around a bit to find some stuff and as we looked together, we did have to give each other clues at times.

A lovely Christmas Activity book
This will keep children and adults busy looking for the elves and Santa. A lovely activity book to have in the same vein as the Where's Wally books.

Fantastic book
Keeps my 7 year old daughter entertained. She loves search and find books so this was ideal for Christmas.

Good distraction for the children!
This book will be really useful to keep children quiet for a little while over the Christmas period, and keeping them off their gadgets for a bit. Obviously the book is a lot like Where's Wally in format; you have to scan a detailed drawing to find something in each one. At first they can look for Father Christmas in each picture, and then they can go back and look again for each of ten very different elves. The pictures are varied and funny, and with the chance for them to read it 11 times just looking for Father Christmas and the 10 elves, then it's worth the money paid!
