It is unusual. The sauce is an English style 'brown sauce'. The rest is not. The vegetables are simply pickled and excellent.

Cheese and pickle sandwiches are life. Butter it and grill it and make a toasty. You can thank me later.

Was all excited to find Branston pickle for sale. Being British I have always loved this product. Imagine my disappointment when the product arrived with lid almost off contents of jar were spilled inside the bubble wrap put on by the seller look at other review photos. Mine was identical. How can the seller not have seen this. Luckily I contacted Amazon they they have refunded my money. But this still doesn’t make up with disappointment in not tasting this amazing product. So please be aware

Bought this for my husband and he loves it; said it tasted just the same as he remembered while living in the UK. He has it with fish and chips, strong cheddars, etc.

Item arrived damaged, not given the option to ask for a refund or return.

I was so excited to try this since I’m a huge Anglophile. I guess it was not meant to be. I did not read the return policy, so I am out the funds. 😖
