Great replacement
I had completely obliterated my original desoldering gun on my YIHUA desoldering station and gotten something completely jammed inside of it. I was pleasantly surprised that the desoldering station kit I had bought years ago still sold replacement desoldering guns. This new one works better than ever!

Works great!
This unit was purchased for a 948 solder station purchased at an auction. While the soldering iron was present and complete, the desoldering gun was missing pieces and had one piece broken off, to the point that it made more sense to buy the entire gun rather than the pieces to fix the old one. This unit plugged right in and worked perfectly right out of the box, as expected. Would buy again, if needed, but I don't expect that this gun will be abused like the previous one was.

Works Fairly Well, Can Get Hot if used too many times in a row.
To unclog the spring can mean using a soldering iron tip at the narrow end to melt the solder to get it out of the spring. They do not seem to sell replacement white filters for it.When you put it apart after cleaning, make sure the spring does NOT touch the plastic tub or using this can melt that tube. Again, not spare parts are sold, but this entire assembly only costing $30USD, almost makes it a "why bother", although the white filter would be nice. I have taken a Hakko filter and split in half for this gun.The tip holds up. The sucker pump could be slightly more powerful. I would love the Hakko version of this, but not at $800.Over-all, it is pretty good, but does require a lot of maintenance when de-soldering a lot of ICs.

Exactly what I needed !
Very affordable way to solve the issue if you damaged your gun while trying to clean it.Apparently the tip is not solid but ships with solder in the hole. Don’t worry if it appears to have a solid tip. A hole will appear when you use it

Good replacement
Needed a replacement for my old one that had started to fall apart after years of heavy use. I love the new glass container as it’s much easier to tell when to clean before I cause a clog, unlike the old solid black version that originally came with my unit. This one is much nicer.

Worked perfectly to replace a broken one
I bought a machine 3rd party and the gun was sketchy, so I took a chance and bought this one as a refurb from the warehouse. It worked great. The guns are pretty simple, however the wiring inside is pretty light duty, so after being damaged, It would have been more work than it was worth with the cost of another one. Glad I did it. My equipment really sucks now (It's supposed to, so that's a good thing)

Works as Intended For a Decent Price
Accidentally broke the original one and bought this one to replace it. I’ve been using it heavily for a few weeks now to try to catch up, so I’ve been putting it through its paces, and still working perfectly.

C'mon, for the price... not bad.
I used this gun with great success... until it got clogged. And boy is it a real neck ache to get unclogged. And then I realized the cooling situation is... not good. The heat from the removed solder is one thing, but the heat from the iron is not well isolated, and after moderately extended use (think, half an hour) it makes the solder collection canister too hot to touch. This made unloading a pain, and eventually one day I forgot to give it a break to cool and it began melting. I was able to rescue it, and still use it to this day, but it really is a bit of a pain to use for any extended work. I'm still giving it three stars because in spite of my complaints I really want to like it, and it has really come in handy in spite of its shortcomings - and hey, for 30 bucks I can't complain.
