Pictures don't really do these bulbs justice. While they don't change to every colour of the rainbow, they don't really need to. They're amazing to have in areas that you spend a lot of time in, like a bedroom or lounge, as the integration with home assistants (like Google Assistant) allows you to change the temperature of the lights depending on the time of day.In my own use case, my Google Assistant routine turns my lights on in the morning when I dismiss my alarm. It brings them on in a warm, dim red and slowly brings them up to a warm white, helping my eyes adjust without being blinded when I turn my lamp in on a dark morning. My Google Assistant also turns my lights off when I leave my home and turns them on when I return, helping to save electricity.Integration with home assistants does require the Philips Hue hub, but even without the hub, you can still control the lights using the Philips Hue app.There are many other pre-programmed effects under the "Hue labs" section of the Philips Hue app. One of my favourites is setting my lights to automatically turn on and off with a slight variance, so when I'm away on holiday, I can make seem like someone's still at home.Overall I highly recommend these bulbs!

The items came really quickly. Very easy and quick to setup when you have an existing Hue Bridge. The package came with 2 x ambiance bulbs and a warranty booklet. These are the ambiance bulbs that range from warm white (yellow colour) to cool white (blue colour). The hue app has a great range of colour presets to choose from and very easy to setup on a schedule. Works really well with Apple Homekit too.

These are very practical, allowing Alexa and the Hue Hub to control lighting automatically. Never touch a light switch again, just ask Alexa. Alexa turn on back room light, and on it goes. Alexa dim front room light, and it dims. Only problem is the original high cost of Hue light bulbs, hopefully they will last a long time as other LED ones do.

Good LED lamps with a lot of tech built in. I use 4 with an Alexa Echo Dot 3rd generation. Setting up isn’t too difficult although doing it in the Alexa app isn’t very intuitive. Because they can be set to any dimmed level they can replace any incandescent lamp eg 25/40/60/75W up to around 100w or 20W CFL.Occasionally one lamp fails to respond to a command, I think it’s something to do with the Bluetooth. Note that if you get one of these into a state where it simply won’t respond to setting up it has to be factory reset using the Hue app, so really you need both the Alexa and the Hue apps for best results. The light colour quality is quite good without significant flattening of colours although as with any none incandescent lamp the lack of sympathetic colour shift shift towards red when dimmed is odd to start with.

Doddle to install and connected to the hue app immediately. Great range of white tones which allows switching to daylight tones for work and photography-related activity, and then warmer tones for relaxation and ambience. Exactly what I was looking for!

These work well with the app and straight out of the box. Control of the light is easy with the app and if you want very bright lights don't get these they are for a relaxed low light scene in your home. Recommended for control and mood lighting.

Faultless as ever from Philips hue lights, streets ahead of other brands.

Very easy to set up! I had bought some cheaper WIFI lights, but could not get them connected, or at least I couldn't figure out how to. These took minutes to set up. I'm quite fussy over lighting, being prone to migraines, these are soft/warm light, and no annoying buzzing. Once detected, you can name them whatever you want, and no messing about with blinking lights, and all that kind of stuff. Definitely recommend.
