Perfect fit for convertible bed
Perfect fit and color match for DaVinci convertible crib. You will need to buy bed slats to hold up the mattress but this is perfect great quality, easy to assemble, built to last.

So happy! These fit Bonavita Peyton Lifestyle Crib!
So happy with these rails! We have a Bonavita Peyton Lifestyle Crib in Espresso (which converts to a full size bed), and although we had ordered the rails with the crib, the store accidentally sold our set due to a mix-up. The furniture company had gone out of business, so we were unable to order another set, and I couldn't find them anywhere online for a reasonable price. I took a chance and ordered these, and they work with the caveats noted below. 1) The holes on the rails lined up perfectly with the holes on the headboard and footboard, but the holes on the headboard and footboard didn't go all the way through (the holes were only on one side). Therefore, I did have to drill through the headboard and footboard holes to be able to screw into the rails. Not a big deal at all. The hardware that came with the rails fit perfectly, and the dark screws blend well into the wood. 2) When the rails are in place, they're a tad too wide to hold the full size box spring. You could buy extra wood to use as slats, but you would probably be able to see them sticking out a little under the mattress. Using slats, you also wouldn't need a box spring as it would cause the mattress to be way too high. We found a work-around that was a perfect solution for us. We were concerned with the stability and maximum weight of slats, so we wanted to use a metal bed frame underneath for support. Because the rails are a little too wide, we were able to fit the metal frame holding the box spring underneath and within the wooden frame of the rails! This also allows the box spring to sit lower, so the top of it is even with the height of the rails. The mattress then sits right on top of the boxspring at the perfect height with the rails. It's a win-win: we have the support and stability of the metal bed frame, but we have the beautiful look of the bed rails and a secure headboard and footboard. Could not be happier with this purchase! Edited to add - the price of these rails was 1/3rd the price we paid at the store for the rails that were made for the crib. Not sure if those came with slats or not, but even if they did, I'm much happier with this item. We wouldn't have used the slats anyway, so I think this is a great value!

Worked great, but wish it came with support slats
This worked great for our Baby Bod Cadence 4 in 1 crib. For the price I wish it came with support slats; however, it was easy to assemble, sturdy and almost a perfect color match. (and still cheaper than purchasing a full-size bed) We purchased 4 boards from Home Depot, cut them down and laid them down horizontally and then purchased the Zinus Annemarie Solid Wood Bed Support Slats and laid them down vertically. (we didn't want to use a box spring) Sleep Signature full mattress fit perfect. My daughter is thrilled.

Half day project with wood working skills.
Very sturdy with the Sorelle Princeton Elite crib head/footboard combo once the holes were in place. Finished product shown in picture after new holes were stained with a q-tip and some espresso stain. Does take some woodworking skills and cordless drill. Specific tools used were a step bit, 7/16 and 1/2" forstner bits and a long 1/4 drill bit. Make a template of the screw holes on the bed rails with a scrap of paper and rubbing with the side of a pencil. You'll use this to mark the correct distance when adding new holes. On the Sorelle, I used an existing hole that was equally high from the ground on all 4 corners, knocked out the barrel nut and then drilled straight through to the other side carefully (in-line with the bed side rail). Use the step bit to enlarge the hole from the outside just large enough you can get your forstner bit to start cleanly. Drill with the forstner bit deep enough the supplied screws will stick out the inside about 1-1/4 or more when inserted into your new hole. Once you are sure the hole is deep enough, mark the bit with a sharpie for the remaining 3 holes so you know the depth easily. Use your paper template and mark the spot for the upper hole above the one you just completed. Drill again centered through to the other side with the 1/4" bit, enlarge hole, drill the inset with the forstner and test fit a corner. If the screw alignment isn't perfect, you can slightly oval your hole with the 1/4" bit to change the screw angle. The supplied hardware was not the best. If you didn't hit the barrel nut straight on, it wrecked the threads and you had to flip it over to get the screw to start. Get it snug, but don't go crazy tight. You'll split or crack the vertical rails on the ends. My son slept for 11 hours the first night without his bed squeaking from the metal side rails we replaced. Huge change for little cost and it looks pretty decent now too!

Make sure you get the RIGHT one. This one has NO BRACKETS for the foot board.
theMDBfamily.com does a terrible job labeling their different cribs. They have these NAMES for different styles but the manual that I have only have style number. I bought a Davinci Kalani 3 years ago and the manual has no mentioning of the style name 'Kalani'... it just has 8501. Then when I go to order railings for these to convert it into a fullsize bed, it took me an hour to research just to order this conversion kit which was WRONG as it does NOT have the hardware to connect the bed foot board. Hey, the description says 'Davinci Twin/Full Size Bed Conversion Kit"! and as a consumer, I don't know there are quite a lot of the DaVinci cribs. I don't work at theMDBfamily to know that. So by poor description, it wasted my time and shipping costs for these to be returned. I then return this set. After another hour of searching on the internet, I ordered to correct set (crib manual says '5789', but the actual model number is 'M5789Q'). I don't know if theMDBfamily purposely tries to confuse consumers for fun or if they just don't have any marketing skills to keep the consistency of the model number. Consistency in documentation is definitely not their strength. Anyway, the 2nd (and correct) set arrived... and I had no hardware for it. It was critical that I had to have 2 brackets. It came with no brackets, no screws, no nuts... nothing. So, again, it has to go back. The 3rd set was finally correct, but now after 3 shipping costs to send these railings to me, and 2 shipping costs to return the not-usable railings, and 2 trips for me to drive to UPS (which defeated the purpose of ordering online)... what would the profit be for this product? I have no idea, but the 2 packages of railings that I ended up returning... now they have to be sold as 'refurb' as they are no longer new. Go figure. The crib was not bad. The conversion is a good idea. It is a shame that they do not have their act together in labeling and product description. They have a website but it's totally useless. It's there to advertise their products only. There is no customer service for theMDBfamily. Seriously, I have ordered things from china and has a better chance matching up parts.

Simple and sturdy. You will need to add a foundation to use a mattress.
Seems a bit much for just a couple of side rails, but everything fit as expected. Used this to convert a Kalani crib to a full size bed. No extra hardware needed and the finish matched the crib. Be aware that this is the rails only. You will need a foundation to use a mattress. I made a set of bed slats to make sure I got a good fit, and so far everything works great. The full size mattress we bought fits fine. My kid has jumped and climbed all over this thing and so far so good. Hopefully we'll be using this bed for years to come.

All you need to convert DaVinci Emily crib to a full size bed
I don't usually provide reviews, but I noticed they make a big influence on my decision to buy, so I wanted to share my experience. When I first opened the box, I noticed the instructions were very simple and easy to follow. My hubby was sick, so I decided to complete this task of converting her bed all by myself. First, I disassembled the side rails of the daybed and kept the screws and lock nuts to use for completing the foot board. I needed to add the rail on top and the 2 side pieces and the screws worked perfectly for that. Once that was complete, I had my hubby simply hold the rails (2 people are needed to complete this part) in place and the 8 screws included with the rails were all that was needed to attach both rails to the head and foot boards. It was the perfect to convert my daughter's 4 in 1 DaVinci Emily bed. No longer screws or extra drilling was needed to convert the bed. It was a perfect match in color, although I bought her crib 5 years ago (November 2013) and I just purchased the rails this week (January 2019). I paired it perfectly with a 5 inch Zinus low profile smart box spring and an 8 inch LinenSpa gel foam mattress, which made it the perfect height for my 5 year olds "Big Girl Bed". I slept on it with her the first night and it was super cozy and comfortable. I'd definitely recommend these rails to convert your DaVinci Emily 4 in 1 crib to a full size bed. She loves it and so do I...

Easy solution for mattress support on rails
We love this conversion kit and understand it is the rails only. While it would have been helpful to have slats, we too struggled with what to do to support the mattress. We purchased the Signature sleep mattress to go along with it but it just wasn't sturdy enough without box springs. We didn't want to use box springs b/c we wanted it to be shorter for our 4 year old as this is what she moved to directly from her toddler bed. I mean, that's the whole reason to buy the crib to begin with, right?? We weren't going to put this bed in storage to put her in a twin. Anyway, to save you some time, easy solution. Here is what we did. I went to the local lumberyard and purchased three 10-foot 1x12's. I needed 6 boards that were 52 and 1/4" long. They cut them for me, loaded them up, I put them on the rails and laid the mattress on top and it has worked perfectly!!! Very simple solution and it wasn't costly at all. The boards showed a little at the bottom of the bed, but if it bothered you, you could always paint them. The comforter covers them up and it doesn't bother us one bit. Measure your boards to make sure the length is right for you, I don't want to be responsible in case it is off any. :) But three 1x12's should take care of it for you.
