Wort the price if you are looking for yellow sunglasses. Not effective for night glare reduction, for my eyes.
The package arrived on time, in good condition, and well packaged. It comes with a nice, but very bulky case that may not fit in many places. Part of it can be explained because the glasses are somewhat bulky, being oversize, over-your-glasses type. Construction of the glasses is somewhat flimsy, but that can be expected given the price point. What I found strange is that the lenses are about the thickness of the plastic you find in most blister packages, and just as flexible. I have never seen lenses made from such a material.I purchased these glasses for one purpose only: to cut down glare from headlights during night driving. In my opinion they are too light-colored to use as typical daylight sunglasses. I have dark prescription sunglasses for that purpose.During night driving they do cut down some of the glare, but in such a small amount that it is not even worth mentioning. I believe that that cut down in glare is not due to any special quality of the glasses, but rather on the fact that they reduce the overall light coming through (they darken the image slightly). That reduction in light naturally also reduces some of the glare.Given that the glare reduction is so insignificant, for my eyes, I returned the glasses.

Best thing since sliced bread!
I asked my optician about the problems I had with glare at night and also the reflection of the top of my dashboard in the windshield. I never had that problem before but a 2012 Civic can't be the only car with this problem. She told me she could sell me glasses similar to these but wanted to be honest and told me I could get the same thing much less expense other places. I found these. I use them in four different ways:1. Obviously, at night. The glare is cut by a tremendous amount. Of course, you still don't want to look directly into oncoming headlights. That's kind of a no-brainer. But if you do, the brightness will be greatly reduced. Things which normally blend in when you are sensitive to light, or are like me, have extremely dry eyes, really pop. For instance, I am able to read street signs much more easily.2. I use them during daylight hours when the sun is not blazing. I live in the desert and the sun is INTENSE. When the sun is shining, I use my prescription sunglasses; however, when there's a sheer (or not so sheer) layer of clouds, the glare is still exceptional. I wear these over my driving glasses (not the sunglasses) and they work amazingly well. Again, they virtually eliminate reflections in the windows, cut the glare and make everything pop.3. I wear them over my regular trifocals when I'm outside, whether walking or sitting on the patio (my sunglasses are bifocals specially designed to see distances different than my usual ones). I am a photographer and my backyard faces east. Early in the morning, when I'm out back taking pictures, I find that these are very helpful. I can see birds, small and large, more clearly and without straining. It's nice that they can flip up in the driving settings and often when I'm outdoors. The only problem I sometimes have is when I want to see accurate light through the camera viewfinder in case I need to make any setting adjustments. When I think in advance, select the proper settings and can focus on a specific area/spot, I use the tripod and remote shutter release. Problem solved.4. My last use, and just as important as the others, is using them when I'm on the computer. Again, I have extremely dry eyes and am supposed to use something called serum tears every two hours. If you're like me, you may spend more than two consecutive hours looking at a white screen. It's not as bad on a phone but terrible on either a computer or tablet. These really help reduce the strain of the bright screen. I still recommend a 20-minute break from screens every hour. Again, the only drawback is when I'm processing photographs. The good thing is that in programs like Photoshop, you can adjust the background color.I might eventually get a blue light screen cover for my laptop. But for now, these pass muster. It's fantastic that they are Polarized. That's what makes the important things stand out in all settings and reduces or eliminates the things that negatively effect you. THE BIGGEST DRAWBACK FOR BRIGHT SUN USE: they don't have 100% UV protection. Minimum standard protection from harmful rays doesn't quite cut it, especially when you live in extremely high UV areas like me. UV ratings go up to 12 and not just 10. In other parts of the country I've only seen it as high as the latter. If they could improve that, I would give these 10 stars!UPDATE: It’s been over a year and a half since I wrote my first review. I can honestly say that they have been a life saver using them in all sorts of light when driving. I wouldn’t even consider driving without them at night. They work wonderfully over my prescription sunglasses and even in bright light (sun obscured) they are still working well. The only problem I have is that they are now pretty scratched. After all, I use them every day. They come with a nice case but if you are driving on the freeway, for example, and light conditions change from blazing sun through sunset I need to have them handy and out of the case while I changed from sunglasses to clear glasses... or if I forgot to put them on before I start driving. It is probably time for a new pair and won’t hesitate to purchase them again.

Hinge broke after 6 weeks; Didn't suit my other purposes that well; I still use them from time to time...
EDIT 2: I am sorry BLUEPOND! Thank you for sending the replacement glasses, but I need to tell this story.BluePond offered to send me a replacement pair of glasses if I took down my original negative review (see below). This is even though the material that the glasses came with said that it comes with a 1-year warranty... Well, Amazon, in its wisdom, did not allow me to change my review or my star rating by more than 1 star. That took a couple weeks to figure out what was going on; after submitting a change in review, in order to get my new glasses, BP would tell me that the review hadn't actually been updated on Amazon! So, about 4-6 weeks later they send me the replacement pair. Black this time, since I really didn't like the look of the yellow ones. Black is better because you can't really see my normal eyeglasses underneath, but to tell you honestly the glasses themselves do not look too stylie. They look functional.Which they are, but... I can still feel that they are wanting to break if I don't treat them nicely. The lens-hinge design is a bit risky. And.. the polarization is on sideways again!!!!! This one I really can't get over. Polarization works only if I tilt my head sideways. Otherwise, it actually increases the glare coming off of other cars and things!!I am leaving this at 3 stars because I am glad that they sent me a replacement pair, and because I know that the money they spent on their customer service dealing with me and sending the replacement pair is much more than they earned from my business, and the thing isn't really bad... And I'd feel like a real di** if I gave them only 2 stars after all the trouble they went through. But would I buy these again? No. Would I recommend you buy them? I wouldn't really recommend them to a friend at this point. I would reccommend that BP fix the polarization issue in their factory first and then maybe...EDIT: BLUPOND offered to send me a replacement pair with a darker lens. They are suggesting that this should address my concerns with how they look over my glasses, since it will be harder for others to see through, and also suggesting that this should fix the polarization issue. I will update this review after I have received those replacement glasses.Original Review Below:I bought these to help with glare at night, to help with glare during the day, and to help with computer work and screen usage at night. I was super excited with the promise of this product and the advertising material;Packaging was beautiful and it seemed to be well made upon arrival. However, after about 6 weeks of use, one of the hinges broke so that now when working on the construction site, a strong gust of wind will sometimes blow the lenses into the up position without warning. Once while working on the roof and fiddling with the lenses, they popped off my face and fell to the floor below. In terms of style, they just simply didn't look stylish on me. The look of my eyeglasses behind these glasses just looked silly. I think if I'm going to have glasses like these that wrap over existing glasses, they need to be dark/opaque.Unfortunately, the return window just passed two weeks ago. I'll still wear them from time to time for day time glare, but for night time glare and screen use, they just didn't do it for me.I've heard you have to 'get used to them' for night time driving and perhaps I never put the time in; for screen use, it just seemed like something that was making it harder to see my screen.Last complaint was that the polarization seemed to be put on at a 90degree angle to what is correct. When looking at car windshields during the day-time, I would see a yellow reflective glare when looking with my head positioned normally; if I tilted my head 90 degrees, the glare disappeared. My understanding is that polarization is supposed to work the opposite of this...I'm really sorry to give these a bad review because I wanted to like them, and there was obvious care in the advertising and design and packaging. It just wasn't a good fit, I suppose. I'm perplexed about the polarization and whether mine was built wrong, whether there's something I don't understand about polarization with yellow lenses that's different than with normal darker lenses, or whether its a systemic problem that needs to be addressed in their production system. All of that said, I will still probably use them during the daytime on the construction site to help with glare assuming there's not too many windy days.
