Worth every penny!
This is what I was breathing in my rented apartment. I was so sick and the apt Property manager would not give written permission for a licensed Mold inspector to come in.The entire testing kit and report is compiled by Biologists and is very thorough. I’d highly recommend!!

Fun little experiment
Was camping on and off all summer and kept coming back to this weird musty smell in the house. No visible mold, but it was humid and seemed to get worse when running the a/c - so figured it wouldn't hurt to check. Results inside of the house were definitely better looking than the "outside air" and results were overall better than I anticipated they would be.Out of curiosity, I did the vent test first with just the fan and then second with a/c running. Wish there was no mold at all, but - hey - at least the inside dish doesn't look like the outside dish.Overall good test to use, but did remove one star because the "guide" was oversimplified and didn't provide sufficient data for identification. For me, not the biggest deal in the world (I know how to locate proper resources and also own my own microscope), but the lack of adequate information could render the test useless for others who do not wish to send their tests in or pay the fee to do so.Photos: beginning and at 120 hours

The mold kit works however stay away if you plan on paying for analysis
The actual mold kit is nothing more than multiple petri dishes with agar. To use them, you open the lid off of a petri dish, set it in a location for an hour, put the lid back on, and then sent the dish in a dark area for a week. The reason why I bought the kit was to have a professional analyze the mold samples that I send to their lab. I understood that I would have to pay an additional fee ($40) to get the mold analyzed which I was fine with. The turnaround time was pretty good. I sent them a sample of my mold and they were able to email me my results within a couple days of receiving my mold sample. The issue that I have that has made me regret ever purchasing this mold kit was the results from their professional. They gave me a list of generic genus names of molds with percentages present in the petri dish. The problem with this is that there are a wide variety of species within a genus. This makes the results useless to me because it doesn't tell me the exact mold and whether it is toxic or not. I have tried to call them 3 separate times and emailed them 4 times. The only reply I had from them was them replying back to my email saying that they can't call me because I did not include my phone number. That is a lie because my order number includes my phone number. But anyways, I replied back and gave them my phone number and it has been a week with no phone call. I am very disappointed with this purchase.

Kit for self testing your home or RV for mold
I was tested for allergies and mold came up strong so we decided to test our residence. Setting up the dishes was fairly easy. Found mold spores in one area of our home so now we are getting air filters that are supposed to eliminate the spores. It was an interesting experiment to set up a dish for each room of our home and watch for the spores. They actually took a fair amount of time to develop, 4 days. Downloading the publication that has illustrations for identifying what kinds of mold you might have is necessary. I would recommend following the instructions that came with the kits. I'll be evaluating our air filters to see if they take care of the problem enough so I can breathe better and eliminate my constant nasal congestion.

Expensive but work
You're paying a surcharge for a product and ability to send to a lab. Save your money and buy plates advertised for mycology at half the price.....or make your own. I foolishly bought these in a panic to test mold in my crawl space which is clearly there (figured it out without these plates) but their ability to grow stuff is questionable without incubation. I tried putting these things everywhere (vents, bathrooms, basements, literally swabbing surfaces and plating it, etc) but no growth. Mold is virtually everywhere so that's funny. They do however work when incubated above room temps. To the reviews mentioning moisture, that's expected with agar plates and are perfectly fine to use.

Super accurate at a great price
I had spent over a week researching home mold testing kits. I decided on this kit as there are multiple rooms that needed to be swabbed. I WILL say that it took longer than 72 hours to get results. We had complete test results within 7 days. The photos that I have included, are on day 8. No matter what type of mold you have, it needs to go. There is a mold identifier included, buuut it feels like they include photos that leave you wondering if this matches any of your samples. I get that it's a marketing strategy because they are ambiguous photos at best. I compared my photos with online photos via Google " black mold petri dish photos" or whatever type of nold you are wanting to search. It looks like we have at least one of the toxic strain, so we will begin the remediation.
