The Big Book of UFO Facts, Figures & Truth: A Comprehensive Examination

HORRIBLE - PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!
Normally I would never write a review like this, but this book deserves it. This has got to be the absolute worse book on UFOs...or any other subject for that matter. Let's start with this: there is not a single photo, chart, document, scientific notations and/or calculations, or any any other supporting evidence or material between its covers. The book starts out with some "fuzz" elucidations that make very little sense. This is followed a long list through the years of "vaguely described" UFO incidents that could have been very well made up, which get very, very monotonous after about 100 pages or so. But from here it gets worse! It starts diving about 30 pages of bible scriptures, claims Jesus Christ was an alien instead of the TRUE SON OF THE LIVING GOD, and then it starts quoting many of Stephen Kings fictional writings, you know the horror fiction writer, as evidence! Would someone care to explain to me what relevance is this??? And there are people who have given this books 5 Stars??????? Unbelievable!!! It made what to puke, particular at the price he's charging for this rubbish. There also some wacky theories that is scripted...and with no evidence again!!! There are a plethora of decent if not great UFO books out there like "Alien Encounters - the Truth." It's a comparison of night and day. W.C. Fields, an comic actor of the silent pictures who progress into talkies said it best: "A fool and his money are soon parted."

Good read
In the first part of this book, Redfern describes the early MIB stories, all anecdotal and all very unconvincing. In one alleged photo of an MIB, the guy does not even fit the description of a typical MIB, slightly chubby and wearing a pale-colored hat, no sunglasses. He just looks like any other guy walking down the street. I was about to give up, but in the second part Redfern takes a hard look at the anecdotal evidence and he also brings in alternative explanations, like the beginnings of myth-making. Redfern gives his readers a lot to think about.

Misleading
I purchased this book for my grandson. I viewed a lot of books trying to find one with photos along with the stories. This one stated that there were rare photos in the book. There are NO photos displayed. Very disappointed.

Basically an "Incorrekt" Compilation from Wikipedia
I was looking forward to this book for months. What a big letdown. There are pages and pages of what feels like filler. I ended up skipping through a lot of it because it seemed so poorly laid out. For example, the times when it mentions x amount of events between such and such a date. Some of these sightings were only seconds long, but they had a full paragraph of "information". I don't understand why that couldn't have been shortened down, and sightings clumped together better. Or when the book lists names of people who've witnessed these things... just a list.Another big let down was when it would talk about these photographs and how they are unexplained and yada yada and then not actually SHOW the dang thing. Not a single picture in this book. Then when I go to Google it, it turns out it was a proven hoax. The book says nothing about that, and this was published not long ago.Overall it just seems like a compilation of footnotes from Wikipedia that are incorrect. And the author's replacing of c with k drives me krazy. Like with "diskuss." Good lord. There was some valuable and neat information in there. But after reading about a confirmed hoax that they deem as "unexplained" and oh so spooky, I didn't believe anything anymore.

Looks Good and Comprehensive..
The book at a glance looks great, as it's a Xmas present I have not looked at it in detail..but it appears to be what I had in mind. This review is to compensate for an earlier bad one I did when I thought it was going to be a no show..however it has now turned up ..only a few days late..
