must have book. cheap fast and as described..... great for students and teachers many details and information include in it . recommended

This was my first choice for son's Xmas present, three subjects so essential and so often they are now forgotten,

As most ring binding, this one is sure to yield damaged and loose pages. Even the outside covers are thin and bodyless. (I had to add a scored cardboard to protect the pages.) Would have bought a hard cover had it been available.Architecture is very much a visual art and I deplore the lack of quality images in this book. I was lured by the nice cover drawing but there is nothing like that inside.The book is very cheaply produced. Makes for a pretty dry read. Since I have only recently received the book and was somewhat deterred from devouring it upon arrival for the reasons above, I cannot yet comment on the substance of the text.

Excellent book for anyone who is designing a home or simply wants to improve the energy efficiency of an existing home. Gave me lots of detailed design concepts as to how to accomplish this based on many factors such as climate type, wind direction, window size and location, etc. It will save me a fortune over the years. I do recommend the spiral bound version as it lays open flat, an advantage when you're reading, highlighting text, and studying the drawings.
