Great for a large range of sizes, control system leaves much to be desired
After a decade of promising myself a massage chair, I finally broke down and got one. I'd been looking at the Kahuna chairs, but on the day I pulled the trigger on buying, I saw this one for a similar price point but had a heater (which I knew my wife would love) and a Bluetooth speaker built-in (it's not amazing but it is there and works well enough). So after stalking a Kahuna chair for a year, I bought this one. Go figure.Came right on time, and the guys were willing to carry it in the house but the box wouldn’t fit through my standard size 36" front door - it wasn't even close. So they left it on the porch and I unboxed it there, brought it in myself (you'll want help). But no assembly necessary, so that's a nice thing, kind of a significant advantage over some other chairs.Key point: I'm 6'7", size 13 feet, 260 pounds and I lift heavy. Finding a chair that would fit me was a gamble (part of why I waited so long) - but this one does it pretty well. I can feel how the stretch mode would work better were I not so long, or that the rollers would normally work on one's neck instead of between my shoulder blades, but I'm still pretty psyched about this chair. The arm squeeze is *powerful,* and I'd wager does fantastic things for lymphatic return. The feet rollers are too strong for my liking, but I slid some boot socks in there and now it's great (mind you, my 5'2" wife and a small female houseguest both said the feet rollers are fine and I may just be sensitive). The point is, Ootori advertises the chair up to 6'5", and I can back that up. A little more that that depending on build is probably reasonable too - it has been for me. I do put a pillow behind my head as otherwise it cranes my neck back too much, but not a big deal at all. The foot chamber extends to suit both of us.They saved some money on the controller. It's not very sophisticated, and not very well translated into English, but with some trial and error it can be sorted out. Ideally one could interact with the main screen (adjust speed, strength, width, etc), but instead you go into the options menu and fiddle around with it. Programs are at most 30 minutes, but you can reset the clock by picking a new time limit. I've fallen asleep in it, but where the rollers hit me in the shoulder blades I can't stay there for more than an hour. My wife doesn't have that issue and feels she could sleep in it for longer if she wanted to.Anyhow, we're satisfied with our purchase, use it daily (sometimes twice a day), and guests are quite keen to try it out also. I like reading in it. I don't have a ton of back pain at baseline, but I'm writing this during quarantine so I can't comment as well on its efficacy against gym aches and pains. Perhaps I'll update when life gets back to normal.

I use the chair to fall asleep, my husband not impressed.
So, my husband bought the chair, but rarely uses it--it doesn't really do anything for him. When I first used the chair I thought it was trying to kill me and my shoulder blades hurt a lot. Now, I basically use it on relax or sleep mode (they are both the same, except in the sleep mode it stays reclined when done). I use it at night as it can put me to sleep. You have to play with the controls or just go to relaxing, because it can squeeze the life out of your calves, or hold you down while it grinds up your back. If you do the stretch, it squeezes the life out of your legs and then starts pulling them---all while your arms are locked in the chair and your shoulders and forced down. So keep the controls on your lap--you will have to wait till it releases our hands to change anything. Or just don't put your hands in the arm holders--the pressure on that also can be strong. I don't mind it, but my friend can't handle it.Our friend comes over and she loves the chair and is in it all the time.Everyone's first reaction to it when it gets to your butt is a look or an "Oh?" that is interpreted as "that is weird"--it rolls pretty far down your butt and then starts jiggling. The chair can get away with it, a person touching you like that would not.

Great massage, but problems with two units received
Lets get the bad out of the way. There's no place to put the controller. The massage chair starts right up, and doesn't give you any time to choose settings. It just starts rolling in auto mode. I just bumped the timer up 5 minutes so I have time to mess around with settings and not worry about losing time.First unit I got made a grinding noise on the left side of the chair, towards the bottom where the feet part connects. When it happened, I felt what I thought to be the rail moving side to side which it shouldn't do. Luckily, it was shipped by amazon so I exchanged it.Second unit was much better. It actually brought to light that the first unit didn't do the massages properly. The new unit did things that the first one did not in each of the auto modes. However, the second unit started making a loud cracking noise every now and then. It sounds like it's in the same place as the grinding noise from the first one but it may be tied to the feet controls. I'm not really sure yet. I'm considering taking the panel off from under the feet section and letting it run through one of the modes to see if I can find out where it's coming from because I feel bad sending it back again. The delivery people were awesome but the thing is heavy and awkward. You can't pick it up from the base. There's a thin plastic shield covering the base that would easily break. Rolling the chair around isn't terrible though. Now for the good. The 3D, SL track massage is excellent. It auto detects body size so it will give me (5'10) and my wife (4'2) the same massage. It doesn't just, do the whole track and massage the top of her head or something. The airbags are strong. Shoulders are almost too strong for me. They push so hard it makes the massage rollers hit the edges of my shoulderblades in a weird way. My wife however, has no problems with it. Might just be my weirdly broad shoulders. The arm airbags feel like they are too strong, but it feels really good when the massage is done, so its worth it.In the auto modes, the zero gravity isn't really right for me, but in manual, you can put it back pretty far and it will get where I want it.For the price, if you can get a good one it's totally worth it. The 3D massage is awesome. Much better than any 2D massage chair I've used. The SL track gets the rollers all the way from the top of my neck down below the glutes.

nicely made except for controller
The reviews for this chair are misleading as it shows several different chairs on the customer reviews, not just the one chair. The chair I got is the one in the photo I included. I do not know the model, and I am pretty sure I paid way too much for the chair also, so be sure to check the prices, as I am now seeing the one I got for half the price I paid and less. The controller is very basic, and the options are very limited and not intuitive. It's OKAY, but definitely not work $2000. If I could return it I would.
