It doesn't peel. It is a core and a slicer.

Q: Aew the blades far enough apart and strong enough to cut a caramel apple with chopped pecans on it?

With some additional ‘elbow grease’!

Q: Are blades strong/sharp enough to slice a raw potato? Looking for low profile cutter for my air fryer.

I would have to say maybe. If a potato has a lot more density than an apple I would have to say no. Even some of the apples take a bit of muscle to get the blade started.
