AHC Face Mask Aqua Essentials Hydrating and Brightening for Dull Skin 100% Cotton Sheet, 5 Count

This is a nice hydrating sheet mask. Other reviews mentioned too much essence in the package and a sticky texture but I didn't think so. There was a good amount of essence to keep the mask moist while in use and to apply a layer to neck and hands as well, and it absorbed into my skin without leaving a sticky residue. It felt hydrating and my skin seemed refreshed after using. I use a Korean sheet mask almost every day, all different brands, and this is one brand that I would order again.

So, I didn't pay very close attention to this. I thought it would be a bottle with like a serum you put onto included masks or could just rub onto your face... It is in fact a foil package which is shaped like a 2D bottle but has a sheet mask inside. So I was a little confused by what I had received at first. The package itself feels almost whimisical and joke-like in this context but I don't really care for it. However, it's not the packaging so much that counts as the product itself.The product is recommended to be put in the fridge to chill first. I've never put on a chilled mask before... living in MN where the weather has already turned cold (snowed several times already at the end of October beginning of November) I was a littl hesitant about a cold mask when I already had to turn up my thermostat but I wanted to make sure I'm following it's directions so I did chill it. It was very cold to put on but it didn't fel too uncomfortble at least not for long.Now I have a smaller head/face and this mask was very large on my face and the serum on it was apparently very slippery as it kept sliding down my face while wearing it. I had continuously adjust it. Especially around chin/mouth and nose. Most sheet masks are a little large on me but this one felt excessively so and the sliding made it worse.After removing it there was a ton of serum left and I rubbed and tapped and rubbed and tapped for a long time to try and get it absorbed or dried. It just didn't seem to absorb well into my skin and even after getting it mostly there (like after 15 minutes of rubbing and tapping) it was sort of sticky and oily feeling. I checked my face for several hours afterwords and if still felt sticky and oil like 4 hours after having taken off the mask. It might have been well hydrated but I don't like the sticky oily feeling it left behind which was long lasting. My skin is naturally very dry so I do need a lot of moisture but this was maybe too much? I can't imagine how it would work on someone with oily skin.

I was so excited for this but then the masks arrives expired and wasnt on a box.

I'm sorry to say that I am not a big fan of these.I've used other versions of this style of "fabric" moisturizing mask and appreciate the others far more than this brand. Because.....While the "bottle" cut-out packaging is clever, it doesn't represent "soothing, beauty, pampering" in comparison.Once you snip off the dropper-cut out, the solution oozes from the opening in a sloppy kind of way.The white-fabric is super saturated with the solution to the point, it is dripping and I was making a mess for myself to clean up after.The cut-out design of the mask and its size was excellent. It was easy to fit with the openings (eyes, nostrils, lips) to my hairline (with a little extra effort to release the folded area to cover the end of my nose)It was easy to press into place, but there is no standing or sitting upright, wearing this mask because of the solution dripping. (I've used other masks like this that don't drip at all)Not the worst thing to go prone, but I had to lay down to avoid further dripping mess.I appreciate that the solution didn't have any scent for my sensitivity to perfumy/chemical scents.I was curious about the "skin brightening claim" and then noticed that it contains "niacinamide" (niacin) - which is known for facial flushing. When I removed the mask after 20+ minutes, indeed my skin was brighter...in the somewhat flushed/not-natural-red shade that is not appealing to me. Plus I experienced some irritation burning sensation (also not appealing)The solution felt extremely sticky & tacky for my liking. And while my face did feel more moisturized after I removed the mask, my skin still had a tacky feeling on the skin (not appealing)The moisturizing feeling did not last long afterwards.This is not a mask I would keep in my "pampering/moisturizing" inventory. Sorry :(
