How much weight can these handle, I'm looking to put on paracord for a dog show lead.?

If it's a show lead and you know that the dog will not pull at the lead, these will be fine, if a bit small. They won't break in a sharp tug, but I wouldn't put it through that as daily wear and tear.

Do they turn to copper after a while?

It's on my save for later list. Depends if it Stainless steel tip if not it will turn.
