All I can say is, I am thoroughly impressed. I used jars from pickles prior to this. They were airtight but clear, however storing in the pantry it was dark so no direct light. They did a good job, or so I thought. I used this jar and after a month I checked the condition and the herbs were as moist and fresh as the day I got them. It doesn't take much to dry out herbs, just the air in the container can do it. At least that what I thought, as a pickle jar would preserve them but not anywhere near this well. Maybe it could buy a couple months before the dryness would take the flavor and use diwn to minimum. I waited several months before writing this review for the specific purpose of being able to give a thorough testing.So here we are months later, and my herbs are STILL moist. Not as moist as day one, but moist enough I expect they will last several more months. This means of course I don't have to go shopping nearly as often, and it saves a little fundage to boot. I will be buying more of these and the price for the value is superb. First of all, these are amazing glass containers. I bought them being an skeptic of using jars to stash some "things" there. I always thought that these things didn't work at all but, since using them, I will never stash "something" anyplace else.These jars are announced that protect from uv-lighting but, after a long day outside, something smelled weird inside. Still good, but smelled weird. After a couple of months, one of the jars fell from my bed, breaking a small part of it (specifically the lid). Thinking about sticking it together with some crazy-glue, but the rest of the jar handled the hit pretty well.Also, they hold 1/2 oz comfortably and a bit more. So, if you need to stash some spices or dry tobacco, this should be your first choice. Just, don't leave it out in the sun.

These things came really fast extremely well wrapped very good quality should get years of use out of these thank you again herb preserve I would love to have more of these

Paid 40 dollars for what I assumed was an “herb preserve” brand half ounce jar, a jar I was assured was top of the line. What was shipped to me (after being 2 days late) was an “herb guard” brand jar which on Amazon you can find for 20 dollars. I know this is herb guard because it came with stickers for herb guard brand jars, and the box it came in was labeled “herb guard” (pictured). I would not recommend buying this in a million years, paid 40 dollars to receive a 20 dollar jar with a scratch in the top lid. Do not buy.

Love these jars! They have a sweet deal going on their website right now too. Scoop some up. I've compared these and small Mason jars these keep the ingredients fresher longer.

These jars are way better than any "stash" jars that are on Amazon. I was able to fit a half ounce of herb into just as advertised. The jars have thick sides and even though the top is plastic, it feels very durable and secures nicely. I like how the stickers come on the side so I can keep the sleek look of the jar. Overall I'm very happy with the product and look forward to using it!

Definitely worth the $. I truly believe you get what you pay for. In this case you're paying extra for a product that definitely works. Most jars work as jars however the 'odor' at times is still present. Not with these bad boys, it's as if it completely seals in 100% of the odor

These are great jars! I mostly buy them on their site because they usually give you some free jars if you buy $50 or more. Amazon pretty much sells them for the same price they do. They keep my product fresh for months and months. They work better than clear jars because that also zaps the freshness also. When you wash them, do so by hand because the dishwasher can ruin the lids. They are sturdy but will break if dropped on a hard surface. Defiantly recommend
