Sluice Fox Modular Sluice Box System for Gold Panning Kits

This sluice Fox is amazing. Its my first sluice but I did a lot of research on how to set and run a sluice box. one and a half hours of sluicing and came up with 60 to 70 tiny flakes of flour gold. this thing catches everything!! I tested all my tailings and didn't find one spec of gold. once you have it set right, all there is to do is feed it gold! super easy to do a clean out takes maybe 10 to 15 mins tops. and the fact that it catches the flour gold is perfect since that's about all we have in my state. Don't make the mistake in passing on this sluice. It also fits in my hiking backpack no problem. I read reviews saying you need to use 1/4 or smaller classifer, FALSE!!! I use 1/2 that came with my pan and this sluice has no problem running, just have to have it set right!! for this price what do you have to lose? Buy IT!!

So far it works great. I hike this thing around Alaska. I didn’t give the sluicefox 5 stars because removing the miners moss can be a pain, feel like I’m going to break something every time I try and unsnap the trays. The connection points could also be a bit smoother... black sand and gold flakes get caught in the cracks (not necessarily a bad thing). But overall I love this sluice. Very light weight and portable.

This is my second one, I love the idea of an adjustable sluice. Took it out this week and cought a good amount of gold. Those riffle trays really suck up the gold and black dirt. I will for sure be a repeat customer:)

I was really excited to get this sluice and try it out on my claim. It seemed perfect for what I needed as it is super light and the fact that it is narrow would allow me to run it in the small creeks. First thing that I noticed was that where the flare connects to the sluice does not connect and line up flat. The flare is kind of warped and sort of sticks up which caused dirt to get trapped when running it. After running this thing for a full day on my claim, I will say that it can catch gold. Now for the next problem.... When it is time to clean up, removing the riffles and miners moss is nearly impossible. When I was removing one of the riffles, it snapped and the entire side of the sluice cracked as well. I dont feel like I was pulling on it too hard or anything either. So overall, I am fairly disappointed in this sluice and wish I could return it but probably cant now that it is used.

Was excited to get this, since I wanted a portable sluice for just hobby prospecting, but once I got it out I was disappointed.I'm not sure if I just received a one off that was bad, or if its just poor design. In the pictures you'll see that the connection between the box and flare is not tight. There is a gap when it is just sitting, and even when pressed down the plate where the two meet is still raised up and not flush. Part of the problem is the flare has a raise in the middle which is causing the connection to not be flush, and the connection points aren't tight enough to hold it fully in place.I really like the idea of this product and want it to work so I hope I got a bad one, but I'm returning this for now.

Very clever ad...Please note this is sold as PIECES .After seeing this on a UTUBE channel and reading reviews of how clever to have a unit snap together I could not believe this foldable unit was this price, they show how simple it is to snap together and how easy to use ...Don't be caught off gard like I was READ THE-FINE-PRINT in PICTURES THAT STATE PURCHASED SEPERATLYI did end up buying it to try out but had to place two more orders to complete this unit to use as portrayed

Very light weigh and easy to set up! This sluice system is rather unique being able to snap extra lengths of sluice to it or just keep it standard length. I will be getting another length of sluice to make it like a “long Tom” sluice, maybe get it in the green color for the second length of sluice.

Well built and good quality. This thing isn't going to just fall apart after a couple uses. Would recommend purchasing with a flare to allow more water flow. If you don't...it will still work. I have not attempted to remove or switch out the moss yet but looks pretty straight forward. Maybe have a couple extra pads of these in reserve as well. Connection points are strong and rigid. It's easy to connect additional lengths for a bigger run of materials as well. Sluice Fox has consistently impressed me with their products and ease of use.

Great product it was a pity I had to buy another set to finish the full size sluiceBut I can’t wait to get it out on the river and find some shiny gold
