Q: Are these as good as a lacrosse ball for deep tissue massage?

Im not familiar with lacrosse ball, but as a ballet dancer...there is nothing I want to run more on the bottom of my feet

Q: Can this roller be chilled in the fridge or freezer? Can if be put in hot water for heat therapy? Thanks!

They were made of rubber. I don't think there will be any effect when put in the fridge or freezer. I don't know about hot water. Never tried either of them.

Q: are these very hard or have a bit of give?

They are very hard and have very little "give". I found them to be very uncomfortable to use with my painful feet. I think I would compare these to a dog chew toy!
