Great sound reduction.
I purchased this product so that I may get a good feel & sound reduction while practicing late at night. This product achieves that. The down side is that Previously I purchased the 20" for my Bop Kit and received 4 clips to secure it. With this 22" head I got only Two. For its price, I wish Aquarian had provided the other two.

Best bass drum pad yet
Hands down the best bass drum pad I've ever owned. I've been through about 5 of the thinner/cheaper ones over the last couple of years. I finally gave up about 6 months ago when the last one got eaten through by the beaters. This pad does give some rebound on it, not 100% like the drum head but pretty close. The only con to this pad is that you will more than likely have to scoot your pedal back a little bit to make sure your beater is landing flat as it would naturally without the pad. To me this is a minor inconvenience for as well as this pad works.

Keep volume low but still offers normal drum head action and feel.
Product works great! I have a music school and I needed to keep the sound of the drum lessons at a lower level and yet satisfy teachers and students still having the same action response while playing...typical drum pads don’t feel like real drum heads which is needed for learning to play.

This works better than anything else I have tried
This works better than anything else I have tried. It is a little bit thick so I had to move my pedal back a little but it is very sturdy and cuts the sound level down quite a bit. It was a tight fit but once I got it installed it was great.

Without a doubt the best product on the market
Without a doubt the best product on the market. It is thick, so you need to adjust your pedal some to match what you'd feel without it. It really does feel close to a real head. The clips provided make installation easy and secure.

Practice and Protection
This is a great practice pad for practicing new techniques and gaining endurance without damaging the drum head or angering the neighbors.

My favorite noise-reducing bass drum head
In addition to the Super-Pad, I have the Remo Silent Stroke and RTom Black Hole bass drum surfaces/heads and I like the Super-Pad the best. It provides a significant amount of noise reduction but sound-wise it produces a very satisfying, low frequency thump like what you hear on recordings. There is very little, if any resonance so if that is important to you, keep that in mind.Comparisons to the other two solutions: The Silent Stroke has an unnatural bass drum sound. It is very quiet, the softest of the three, but it has an unnaturally high rebound and does not sound at all like a bass drum. If you want to keep the noise down and just need something for practice sake, it is fine and also the least expensive. The Black Hole fits over the hoop and attaches using bungee-like cords to keep it in place. It feels like a bass drum head when using the pedal and the sound is pretty decent. It reduces the volume but captures the basic sound including the resonance. Since it attaches to the hoop, it puts the head about 2" or 3" closer to you than the regular drum head. They give you a bracket to attach the pedal to compensate for this but personally I don't think that bracket works all that well. The Super-Pad is my favorite. It attaches inside the hoop, going over and touching the regular bass drum head and is held in place by 4 rubber brackets. The drawback is the surface is now level with the outside of the hoop rather than the inside where the regular head is, so you either have to be able to adjust your pedal to compensate for the surface being closer to you, or just put up with it. The sound makes up for all of that, though. It sounds great. Like I mentioned above, the volume is greatly reduced and what you get is a satisfying thump. This product isn't cheap but it is well made and should last a long, long time so it is well worth it.

This is an amazing product. I had tried almost every product on ...
This is an amazing product. I had tried almost every product on the market that would dampen the sound for practice and still feel like a real drum. It snaps on and off really easy and is secured by 4 clamps. The instructions are not clear with what to do with the 2 stick and peal square pieces of rubber. These go between the pad and bass drum head to the left and right of the white pad. I originally tried it without but it makes a big difference in sound reduction. You can eliminate rattling by adjusting the clamps. I use this type of practice pad for all of my drums.
