Uniden BC-SGPS, Universal Receiver Module Kit, Simple Solution to Connect GPS Enabled Scanner or CB Radio, (Replaces BC-GPSK)

Not a fan of wires. Unfortunately, this has plenty. Had to hard wire to get rid of 2 wires. There is no option but to cut the cig lighter power supply or get a bit creative as I did. Ultimately, I hid all the wires. The kit seems to be outdated and could be consolidated. Still, works well. Also, not much literature with it. Have to Google or YouTube for more info.

I was a little apprehensive if I was buying the correct thing for my Uniden SDS200 scanning radio. Used it on a road trip and worked awesome! It kept my scanner operational as my location changed through out the US. In the package I received a bunch of parts, but I only needed the small gps receiver box, and the short RJ11 cord to connect it to the rear of my radio.

Works as intended, but needed to modify display to show lat & long to verify gps was working.

It's a bit clunky compared to the DIY system I was using. But for as often as I lug it from truck to truck with my slip seat set up my DIY solders would break or come loose. This is a solid unit that should last for a long time. Set your SDS 100 GPS to 9600bs and you're dialed.

The setup of the item on my SDS200 scanner was pretty easy. I used it on a trip to FL; on the trip down it worked like a charm. I took both the scanner and GPS puck into the hotel with us nightly, but on the day that we left to return home- the GPS just stopped functioning. I’ve been in contact with Scanner Master via email and we’ve trying to decipher what has transpired. I hope I can change my three-star rating to a five soon. Thank you. Update: I forgot to update this review- it is called being 65… The above problem with the GPS has been fixed- kudos to the UNIDEN team! There is now an update for the Sentinal software for programming; if you already have this unit, please update this if you haven't lately. There is also a new “waterfall” key available (nominal fee) for the unit. I'd recommend this radio for sure now.

Works perfectly

I love when my scanner asks me if we're in the bay area? No, then you must be in San Francisco, yes, end of problems, but the scanner only uses GPS for location, it would be nice if it could give me directions, but, all in all, I love my setup!

Very disappointed, received a unit that had been returned by another customer, part of a USPS label was on the box. Tried it out anyway and my scanner could not see the GPS receiver.
