Q: Does this stand work for oud instrument ?

Hello Hannah. I am not sure of "oud" guitar. I use mine for a Takamine TH90 classical guitar. I also use it for a Dreadnought Martin HD28 from time to time.Never had any problem in using this stand. Hope this helps you.

Q: What’s the maximum depth/width of an instrument that would fot in the rubber support pads? Trying to see if it can fit my thick Oud :)

its about 20Cm / 8" deep. I use it for two separate instruments. First one is a round backed Acoustic Ovation Guitar and the second is a banjo. I don't know the dimensions of the Oud but I suspect this stand may be too narrow to secure it. There is no neck support which is OK for my guitar but the banjo needs to be carefully placed to stop it from falling over. The stand is light which makes it ideal for carrying.
