Better Chef Double Burner (3 Pack)

Purchased this item due to an emergency gas outage throughout the building.. it heats up very quickly and has low power to high-power adjustable knobs. I recommend this item because it does the job and it's affordable

Wonderful things: (1) Both burners get really hot, & quickly! (2) Compact size (so no counter-crowding) (3)can still cook on it w/ large pots & cast-iron pans. (4) Can use both burners at same time w/ success. (5)Attractive. I loved the unit until...Cons: (1) The left burner (after 11 months) now will not heat up at all (most of the time), as if broken. Then randomly it will work for a session. Guessing this is a wiring issue, but I'm not skilled at resolving such. {I'd give it less stars due to this left-burner failure; but it seems that all the 2-burner electric stoves I read reviews of, end up having some similar problems~ even the more expensive ones. So comparatively, I'd say this is a ,tropper tho' I wish it lasted longer.} (2)As other reviews say, the ink-print of the number-settings on the dials, as well as the print on the unit itself, will wipe off almost immediately w/ simple sponging. *solution*: having read the reviews prior, I used clear finger-nail polish to dab over the numbers etc & let it dry, so they would not wipe off (however the one area I didn't clear-nail-polish did wipe off quickly). Just be sure to *dab* the polish rather than swipe/"paint" w/ it, as the swiping/painting can smear the ink-print as you do it. (3) there is no way to even slightly "lift up" or "tilt" the burner itself in order to get under it to regularly clean the metal pan/spill catcher beneath; as it's screwed in from the center. This means it is always an awkward process to clean up under the burner after cooking (squeezing scrubby-sponges under & scraping fingers as I try to scrub). But worked out alright in the end ('til left burner failure at 11 months).

I bought two of these. The first one literally blew up. The second one failed after only two uses. This product is horrible. Save your money.

Takes a while to heat up and only one of the burners is an actual burner and the other is for heating up things, but if you're patient you can use both. This is pretty good for college dorms. Has a funny smell the first couple times you heat it up but it wears off. Cleaning under the burns is a little hard because you can't submerge it in water. But if you're careful you can reach in and clean it a little bit. Has lasted me since June 2017 so a whole year so far and I use it pretty often.

I use this as my primary cooking device in my studio apartment. We go out to eat often, so I don't use it daily but at least every other day. It holds up well but the burner goes through frequent temperature changes so you have to adjust it sometimes. Other than that, it gets the job done. Also, apparently one burner doesn't get as hot as the other so... note that.

Good product. I don't find the burners unstable because of their height. The "simmer" burner on the right is still powerful, will still boil water in a little bit more time. A bit hard to clean because you can't lift the coils out and the only thing is that the writing about the dials and the numbers wear off rather quickly, but I'm not really bothered by that.

I bought it around a week ago. To start with, the packaging was bad, and when I started using it, is very small and even though it is light weight, it is very hard to control the temperature. And it’s made with cheap mererial. Yesterday it just stopped working and then I had to take out the cables and plug it back in few times for it to work. There are 2 burners and they are suppose to be used for different cooking needs however both of them works like same and both are bad. I would not recommend this to anyone. Really badly made burner. I am thinking of getting another one. Hope this helps

Awesome! The gas stove in my rental house dont work and I cant afford a new one so I hesitantly resorted to this thing. I am pleasantly suprised at how fast it heats up and how well it cooks! I look everything on it; chicken, eggs, pasta, etc. It handles my bachelor needs quite well:)
