It's a leash. I haven't had it for long, but I'll try to remember to update the review for longevity later. So far, so good. The clasp seems to be high quality and doesn't look like it will bend or break. I'm glad I got the 1" one instead of the 3/4"; I don't think he'll be able to chew through it nor do I think it will tear or break easily. It seems like it is going to hold up well. Also, a friend of mine has the thinner one: the clasp on that one got bent, it seems to tangle more easily than this one does, and it got caught on something and started fraying/tearing... I don't think this heavier-duty one is going to have those issues!

got this for my dog, we live in an apartment complex that has an open field that requires dog to be leased at all times. This leash is perfect to allow her to run and have freedom, but also the safety of being leashed. It's also great to work on recall training! Bright coloring so the leash is easily visible even when my dog is using the full 50ft. Could be a little thicker material, but for the price, this is a very good buy. I have a small sized dog so this is perfect, could see this giving rope burn for bigger/stronger dog if you don't have gloves. I have trained my pup not to chew on leashes, so i can't speak to the un-chewability of it, but excited to let my dog finally run around more while being safe.

I recently purchased this 50 foot dog leash from Amazon and while there are some things that I like about it, there are also a few issues that keep me from giving it a higher rating. The material is incredibly strong and durable, which is great for large, strong dogs like mine. It's made out of a material that is similar to a ratchet strap, so I have no doubt that it will last a long time.However, the main issue I have with this leash is that it tends to get tangled pretty easily. This can be a real hassle when I'm out on walks with my dog and I have to stop to untangle the leash every few minutes. It can also be a bit of a safety issue if my dog were to suddenly pull while tangled up, as it could cause injury to either of us.On the plus side, my dog has plenty of room to run while on the leash, which is great for outdoor activities like hiking or playing in a park. Overall, I would give this leash a 3.5 star rating. While it's durable and gets the job done, the issue with tangling can be a bit frustrating. If you have a patient dog and don't mind the occasional tangle, this leash may be a good choice for you.

I purchased the 50' version. At first i was concerned about the robustness... the clamp is small, the line is light. Well we used it at the beach and it held up GREAT. The smaller clamp and lighter line is actually a plus, gives my pup the feeling that she's truly off leash and helps us work on recall. For exploring, the 50' is great. Holding can be a bit tough. if your dog is a puller than i'd wear gloves. for us we use it "just in case". for the price, i don't think it can be beat.

We live on a couple acres, my Great Dane is leash trained, and I do not think she would take off if not on leash, but if she ever did, I would be devastated. So now i can go sit on the front porch with this 50ft leash and she could wander around a bit. I am positive that if she was a chewer she would be able to chew thru this, and if this was left outside in the weather it would get weak and could break, if you have a strong dog that pulls this is not what you want. Works great with my lazy dog for now

I moved from a fenced in yard where my dog could run freely into a condo with shared yards and no fence. As a high energy boxer mix, my dog needs to run, yet with the HOA leash laws, she could not run around our new open back yard, and a 6 foot leash doesn't allow for running. So, we were so excited to get this leash where we can throw dog rings for her to run after and still be within the guidelines of the "leash Law" of our new town. She gets to run and play and we have comfort knowing she will not get away from us. MAISY OUR DOG

Very long and helps with training

I ordered one a couple of years ago. The lead was wider and the metal clip was larger. I couldn't find the same product again so I had to settle for this one.
