Q: I need be able to twist tie or use a rubber band these to chopsticks. How can I fasten them.

They come tied as seen in picture. If you want to fasten to chop sticks or on a package I would suggest using a dab of hot glue and place on objects.

Q: Would these be appropriate to use on a large christmas tree?

While these would look beautiful on a tree they are extremely small. At Size(Approx.):23 mm x 22 mm /0.9 inch x 0.87 inch they are not even an inch large. They could be used on one of those small table top trees. You could however buy ribbon that is 2" wide that has the gold edging and make bows large enough for a full size tree. They even sell bow makers ... Bowdabra I may have not spelled it right but that is close. Good luck
