Replacement Remote Control Controller For VIZIO SB2820n-E0 Sound bar Home Speaker (Renewed)

Needed remote for my sound bar and this one was the one

Add batteries and use right away

Inside the remote battery area, there was white substance as if a battery was in there too long. It did say renewed, but didn't look like it was cleaned well in the battery area. I haven't been able to get it to work. I have to try a new set of batteries, I'll have to see if my batteries are a problem.
