6-Speed Easy Storage Hand Mixer with 5 Attachments & Storage Case, Black

I';s a very good hand mixer. Ample attachments and nice storage case. A really good buy!

We received this BLACK+DECKER 6-Speed Hand Mixer with 5 Attachments & Storage Case, MX3200B a couple of days ago to replace a c. 40(!)-year-old General Electric Model D1M20 (Made in U.S.A and it still works after a fashion!). We replaced that old one because my wife said, "It's time." (But we're keeping the GE "just in case.") She has used this new B+D one twice now and she says that it works better than that old one ever did, even when it was new. The unit functions extremely well and just today, on her second use of it, she was able to make some of her absolutely delicious sugar-free coconut macaroons very quickly, much more quickly than with the old mixer. The adjustable speeds are very good and the motor appears to be well-made and powerful. The many attachments are a bonus and a real advantage. She never had so many beaters before. The beautiful case is "icing on the cake." (We've always kept that old GE mixer in its [now-ratty] original cardboard box.) Now WE won't get 40 years out of this hand mixer; we're pretty certain that neither of US will be around in 40 years. But it looks to be made very well and every function works perfectly. Its Eject button (something that not every hand mixer has - certainly her old one didn't have one) works easily and perfectly too. I believe that, given reasonable care, this unit will last for a very long time. Therefore, in both our opinions, at its very low price, this BLACK+DECKER 6-Speed Hand Mixer with 5 Attachments & Storage Case, MX3200B represents very good value for money and both my wife and I can very highly recommend it. My grandmother's 30-40 yesr old handheld mixer finally died this is perfect and works with her whisks. Great value and comes with a case, I hardly ever go up past 3 but the turbo button is helpful. Stores well, the speed is adequate for the power. Ideas asks for smell: it smells like a new small appliance until christmas

I’ve had this mixer for over 7 years now and finally decided to write a review because I’m thinking of upgrading mine. First off, I’m not a baker. I occasionally bake cookies, cakes, pies, etc but I’m not going to invest in a $300 brand name stand mixer. This mixer came in a nice compact container where it’s easy to store away when not in use. The attachments are great - dough kneader (?), whisk and regular beater for cake mix or flour. The only problem I have with this are the speed adjustments. It says it has 6 speed. The lowest speed is SO fast. You push a knob up to increase speed so even at the lowest setting (super sensitive) it’s still very fast. I know this because I’ve used a fancy stand mixer at a friends house and the low speed setting on that is actually low. I’m aware that these budget friendly mixer can’t have too much speed variations but I wish the lowest speed could actually be slow. When when the recipe calls for high speed setting I still use the slow one because again it is super fast. The attachments come off easily and is dishwasher safe. I usually just had wash them. The grip is comfortable to hold and I like that you can store it away and the container is an extra bonus.

I ordered this product almost a year ago, but hadn't used yet in the midst of preparing a holiday dish, I realize that only one attachment will lock into the mixer. The plastic groove on the right appears to have been placed too far and it prevents the beater from attaching. Trying to use with just one doesn't work. UPDATE: I called customer service and the rep was very courteous and ezplained there's a washer in only one of the holes so nothing is missing from my appliance. I had figured out that there is a notch on each beater which allows you to insert it in only one of the two openings. After speaking ilwith the rep, I discovered the one on the right requires a bit more effort than the other and more than I've experienced with other beaters. They were going to send a replacement but it wasn't needed after all. I would rate it a 4 due to thr difficulty in inserting one of thr beaters but I give it a 5 due to thr great customer service.

I'm glad I waited again until it's on sale at $19.99! This is a good buy, and including a storage case that can be used for something else. I still have a 20+ yr-old B&D mixer that still works fine, but doesn't have dough hooks and a whisk. I recently started baking breads and I need the dough hooks. Bummer that the new attachments are not compatible with the old B&D mixer. The wire beaters pictured here on Amazon are not the same as what are in the box that I received. No biggie, but still false/careless advertising. I (tried) turned it on but haven't used this yet but I'm sure it works. My old mixer is 175 watts and has enough varying speeds. This new one is 250, and the electric cord is 5 ft. long! Per my title above, I have power drill, heater, etc. with the B&D/B+D name.

Mixer doesn’t work well with thick doughs or frostings. If I could, I’d return this mixer. (My return window timed out by the time I started using the mixer for the winter holidays.) The mixer does fine with a regular cake mix, but when mixing icing or anything thicker than a cake mix, the batter starts to climb up the beaters and soon your frosting is sitting on top of the beaters and all over the bottom of the mixer. I’m very disappointed in Black and Decker.

we were looking to improve our baking skills and hence ordered this Black and Decker mixer for use in India. It comes with the step-down transformer for 110V. It worked fine for few (3) times and then suddenly stopped working. We had to finish our cake using Bosch drilling machine. Do not waste your money on this product.

This mixer has lots of power. Attachments are easy to install and to remove and clean. It is light and easy to handle. I had left my hand mixer in Florida by mistake and needed one at home. I like this one better than the other one. Very happy with this purchase.
