Very nice Blu ray edition...packed with Extras ! It's a Different Take on Zombie movies ....strange creepy feel to it through the entire movie ....I enjoy this directors cut ...give it a chance !

When the rules of death no longer apply, those who are killed remain to wander the earth in a perpetual state of undeath. Tired, alone, and hated by the living, the undead form a new caste of undesirables in an already overpopulated planet, longing only to return to the eternal rest of the afterlife. Their jealousy over the living causes them to lash out and kill in order to even the playing field. Shot on video in 1994, SHATTER DEAD offers one of the most ambitious and inventive premises in recent zombie lore. Unfortunately, amateur director Scooter McCrae simply lacks the talent and resources to bring this together in a meaningful way. The epic scope of the picture is reduced to one woman's journey home to see her boyfriend, which is made all the less interesting thanks to Stark Raven's vapid performance as Susan. Susan has lost all hope for humanity, and, as one of the undead characters is sure to point out, Susan's spiritual death is far worse than the physical decomposition of the living dead. Unlike MEAT MARKET, BONE SICKNESS, and other dreadful Splatter pictures that were shot on video around the same time, the focus in SHATTER DEAD is never to overwhelm the audience with gratuitous gore, but to subvert mainstream cinema with a biting remark on the current social climate. A terrible film even for a low budget production. I love films like Dawn of the Dead, Suspiria, The Beyond, Night/Return of the Living Dead and this movie can't compare in the slightest! So if you are a fan of Argento, Bava(s), Fulci, Deodato, D'Amato etc, you will not dig this.First, it is shot on tape as opposed to film. If you can get past this, still read on. The acting is bad, women unattractive, characters silly, story uninteresting. The little gore in this film is not worth it.The main character is this woman who goes around fighting the undead and encounters many annoying, silly dressed characters along the way. There is never any suspense or any redeeming scenes where you can say "Bad movie, but I liked the part when..."I feel really bad dumping on an independent film. But I feel even worse for anyone who, like myself, spent money on this.

boring, dumb, retarded, unworthy of anyone's viewing pleasure. i could continue but i won't. very boring movie to say the least. i guess if you like a fair share of nudity then maybe you'd enjoy it but i still doubt it. the girl's carrying around plastic guns. at one time you can see the plastic gun bending and about ready to break in two. just couldn't believe i watched this movie. there is plenty of blood but i sure wouldn't recommend this movie. very bad living dead movie.

I bought this movie because I love zombie movies,it was brand new and a good price and shipping so i took it.
