Works great!
This fits great on a 1998 Ford Ranger. The factory flasher unit is a 6-pin, and the replacement is 5-pin -- there seems to be no effect on the performance.Reach up under the dash above and juuust to the right of the hood release. Slide the flasher unit off its metal tab and pull down. There's JUST enough leash in the wiring loom to pull the plug out from under the dash. Take a broad flathead screwdriver and lift the catch clip, then work the plug off as necessary. Install the new one and tuck it up under the dash.3 minutes and a flathead screwdriver -- Flashing works great again. This flasher unit is quieter than the factory one but otherwise it does the job.

Fits & fixed 99 ranger blinker issues
My 1999 Ford rangers blinkers were not working. But the hazards were. I took (what I think was the factory relay out. It was yellow. I'm the 3rd owner). The factory relay did have one more post/leg in it. But this new one fit perfect. And corrected my blinker issues. If you are flexible. You can get to it without removing the dash panel as well. It was a quick 10 minute fix. Only tool needed was a screw driver to disconnect the old one.

Trash - Remanufactured Garbage
Took time and energy to replace the original malfunctioning and buzzing broken one, WITH ANOTHER MALFUNCTIONING BROKEN ONE. I suppose it was slightly better because at least now the drivers side signals work, but the passenger side is still inoperable and relay buzzes when signaling to right. PIECE OF JUNK!!!! They ground the OEM stamp off the end of an old broken one and put a new part number on it, no kidding. Avoid this product! I could go on and on about my dashed hopes and wasted time, but I need to get on ordering one from Rockauto.comNot the first time Amazon has boned me by selling garbage auto parts. Over it, will purchase elsewhere from now on for sure.
