RotopaXRX-SP-ECO 'ECO' Spout

Great replacement. My seal cap burst open and this kit did the trick. Flows just like the original. Fits like the original.

I have a Rotopax 1 1/2 gallon I also have a 4 gallon Koplin fuel cell. The Koplin spout has pop apart and both times I couldn’t recover the top part of the Koplin. I tried the Rotopax spout on the Koplin cell using the Koplin threaded spout retainer clip works better than the Koplin spout.

This is a replacement for original that came with my Rotopax. I completely hate it. Unfortunately when I use their non-echo spouts, the gas can leaks all over the place for storage, but strangely does not leak when I pour gas into my truck. The echo spout is so difficult to use no one in my family is able to get gas out of the can except for me and I struggle. The first one broke, and again I wouldn’t have ordered this horrible thing unless it was the only way I could figure to keep this $80 gas can from leaking. As far as something that doesn’t leak, it is very good. For something to pour gas from the Rotopax into my truck, I keep one of the regular spouts with me.The “regular” spout pours faster and is not a struggle. Somehow, the regular spout does not leak when pouring gas, but when used as part of the cap for fuel storage, the non-echo spout leaks terribly.In summary, the echo spout is great for storage. If you want to use it to pour fuel out of your Rotopax, I would come up with a different plan. That is my opinion and experience.

Hey, if you busted the hell out of your overland gas thingy, this one is a quality replacement and it’s not yellow, which is cool. Red is the color of passion. Like my passion for not getting stuck without gasoline.

It's not green but yellow.I like these "eco-spouts" better than the plain old versions preceding them. They allow me to fill my motorcycles without worrying about spilling gas everywhere.

In spite of having the same part no. as 2 other spouts I have purchased from Amazon, the base of the new spout was too big to fit the cap of my 10+ year old container (still going strong other than the spouts). The diameter of the base of my spout without gasket is 1.55" or 39.4mm. I returned the spout but had to pay the shipping.RotopaX very kindly responded to my email query and verified that older container spouts are no longer supported so I am out of luck if I want an EPA compliant spout. There is a solution...I have ordered so many spouts since I have found that it is easy to twist these spouts apart, even as an arthritic senior citizen, unless you read the directions, and even then. Too sophisticated for me. Well, at least I don't have to worry about destroying anymore of these spouts.
