ACME Dresden Executive Desk in Cherry Oak

defiantly a nice desk. the look is amazing.

I ordered this desk thinking that it would be made of Cherry wood. But,when it arrived, I discovered that it was made of compressed cardboard with a Cherry wood veneer. I only found that out because the very large and very heavy package arrived damaged. It arrived with the place to attach the legs ripped off. Also, if you order this desk, it is VERY LARGE AND HEAVY! One good thing is that when I contacted Amazon to returned it, the agent quickly processed my return. They also told me that they would be sending someone to repackage it and pick it up. However, it has been a week and that has not happened yet. I haven't heard a peep! Very disappointed! Buyer beware!

The chair is nice looking. One package had damage which also damaged the crown portion of the chair. Returning was difficult, and waiting for refund. I did order another it arrived well packaged and undamaged. However one rear leg is a fourth inch shorter than the other resulting with a wobble. I plan to purchase a floor piece that will stop the wobbling. I hope this works . If the chairs can make it for a couple years it’s not bad.

The desk is excellent quality! The assembly is simply it is however very heavy so a couple of capable individuals will be needed to move it around!

the desk is just what i was looking for-- highly recommended --delivery, however is sub standard. the delivery man said he has no dolly ( i have never heard of delivery truck with heavy containers without dolly !!!) -- he came in to the office ask for help because the container was heavy ( 300 lb.) - 2 female secretaries helped him !!!!. what if the person inside was an elderly person or a person who can help--- then i guess we would have no desk !!then about the assembly: i paid $86 for what i thought would service charge for a couple of hours work--- the worker just connected the 4 legs to desk & that was it (5-10 minutes of work) !!!!!! very unreasonable charge. i think "i was taken for a ride".

The desk arrived 8 days after their window of Dec.26 to 31, which was not optimal. I was not notified that there was any sort of delay.The desk arrived, very well packed. It did not say in the description that the desk has a type of gold paint to accent it, so that was a bit of a let down. But, the big thing is that the finish is not very set on the desk. I happened to brush up beside it with jeans on and a small (penny size) portion of the finish came right off. So, there is a much lighter spot on the edge of the desk. The woodwork/scrollwork is pretty. But, I'm wondering if the finish is that cheap---what might I find later. I just hope it will hold up for a few years.
