Fun painting media
If you have never used graphite to paint with, you should try it. It’s not a true black but it’s pretty dark and works with water with watercolor. I just did a painting of pears on gesso textured paper and love the look of graphite on the texture paper. This is a good quality product for professional art creating. Try it! Good value for the money.

Fantastic Medium!
I purchased this based on a video posted on YouTube about different art products. This one seemed really interesting and I wanted to try it out, as I use a lot of watercolors, graphite and charcoal medium.Very interesting product. It's slightly different than typical watercolorz as it has a heavy body and the graphite has a very obvious difference in consultancy. It's easy to learn how to manipulate it, and it's fun figuring out how bet to use it.You can layer it if you work carefully, to achieve dark values and it can be reworked to create lighter values. It's very similar to a gouache in some respects because of how workable it is.Once dry, it can be erased fairly easily to allow further working of the surface, which means it has a lot of possibilities for projects. My biggest con is that it's obviously messy. It has a lot of loose graphite in the tin, but I know that's just how it has to be considering the medium is a pressed graphite. Just know that you'll want to be prepared for the eventual dust so it doesn't get onto your project accidentally. The other biggest thing to note is that you'll want to deal your work with a fixitif as soon as you finish, as it is a graphite, and will rub away and transfer if you do not. I haven't tested to see how it works with a coat of fixitif on the paper, but I assume it does not preform as well, so I suggest fixing it after you've completed it.A great medium though. Very fun to work with and I'm excited to use it in more projects!

Great for value studies!
This water soluble graphite works wonderfully for doing quick value studies, my primary use. It is very convenient to use, easy to achieve light to dark values and blending or gradating tones. I learned about from Carl Purcell, who offers some brilliant lessons for doing value studies.

Simple and awesome
I love this stuff. Adds a new dimension to watercolor and pencil. I carry a multi media sketchbook, an arteza water brush, a blending stump and this stuff, everywhere.I’m an extreme doodler, and this stuff ups the game. It’s fun, easy and cleanup is…none-ish.I’d give more stars if I could.

Fun product
Fun product. Good practice medium for water colorists. Ranges from really dark to very light depending how much water is use. Slightly glitters due to graphite content. Drys matte but can become shiny if you rub it. Test various paper; it reacts somewhat different depending on paper texture.Smoothe paper: Hard to lift or erase on smoothe paper. If you have a very dark patch on smoothe paper and you try to erase, the graphite will become slick and shiny instead of being erased. You will have better luck on lighter patches but still it is hard to erase when dry. If you wet the area first and the lift with a needed eraser you will have better results. By adding water you can push around the graphite to some degree. Try scrubbing if the paper can handle it.Textured paper: Easier to erase even black patches. The black patch will become a little shiny first but due to the texture of the paper the eraser will begin to grab the graphite.

Great product
I really like this graphite watercolor! I tried it on this piece. It’s smaller than I thought it would be but I still think it’ll last a long time. I can’t wait to practice more with it.

I am in love with this product
The graphite activates with water easily. It is fantastic to use straight with water but, the magic happens when it is mixed in watercolor. It will bring the tone down BUT, it also granulates!
