Mil-TecCombat Anorak Splinter Night

Read other reviews and the sizing chart. 42-43" Chest is what I normally wear so ordered an XL and its a roomy fit in the chest. 25.35 oz. weight. Sleeves were just the right length. The neck and hood are on the snug side. I would not be able to fit a helmet under or have a thick neck gaiter, but it doesn't look sloppy either. Hand warmer pockets are smallish, lined with the same material as the shell. Would have liked a small fold of fabric to protect my chin from a cold top of the zipper.The fabric is tightly woven and thus very effective at blocking the wind. It is not noisy like goretex, but not silent either. Water beads on surface but will leak at the seams first in heavy sustained rain. Sleeves have internal longitudinal battening to mitigate the insulation from migrating as far as I can tell. German labeled, sewing looks decent.The 1/4 zip vents some heat but it is too warm to use during any strenuous activity. Fortunately it dries fast. This works well as an insulating mid layer under a hard shell or poncho in wet weather. The fleece isn't that thick but it traps a lot of heat but not a lot of moisture in combination with the wind resistant fabric. Price was ok. mine shipped from the UK. I am willing to try more products from mil-tec. There is a summer version of this as well that is unlined and sells for half the price.

This is a very warm jacket and well made. I have been surprised that it receives the compliments as much as it does and why not? Its top quality and the side pockets are a bit awkward but very functional and all 3 pockets work well. Shipping was faster than I thought and I was surprised to see that it came from UK. I will buy another eventually.

Probably the coolest piece of outerwear that I've ever purchased. Arrived from the UK faster than a lot stuff I order here stateside. Absolutely nothing to complain about

This Anorak is exactly the weight I wanted. It is warm without being too bulky and has plenty of room for layering underneath for additional warmth. I followed the advice of many other reviewers and ordered the 3X size. Normally I would wear a XL or XXL coat depending on the cut of the coat. I would’ve loved it if it had pass through pockets for easy access inside the parka. But I knew it didn’t have them when I ordered it, so that’s OK. The 2 side pockets are a bit small, but I knew that from other reviews too.It’s a good Anorak overall, but just a little pricey. It did arrive quicker than I thought it would - just about 10 days.

Just a great take off on the German splinter pattern. Jacket is comfortable, very versatile and great looking!

I like this product. Other reviews complained about the size being off. I am 6'2" and 300 lbs, yeah I'm fat. I ordered the 3XL and it fits good. It hangs low enough to cover my gut. The sleeves are long enough, probably 37/38 inches. It is well constructed. It is lightweight. This is not a winter gear product. More of a spring/fall pullover. In the summer it would be to hot, as it has a fleece lining. It would work in a mild winter setting, but you would want to wear some sort of fleece or sweatshirt under it. The side pockets aren't gigantic like some of my fleeces. They will hold a cell phone, wallet or some smokes quite nicely. Shipping will take a while as this product shipped from the UK. About three weeks give or take. I knew that going in to the transaction so it didn't bother me.Overall a great product that I am happy with.

I love these Mil-Tec anoraks as they are great for casual ware. The size is generous as I have a 47" chest so I went for the 'XXL' (44-48). I would have been fine with an 'XL' (41-44). They build in a lot of extra room. I also have a 'L' which still fits me (snugly). Well made and comfy for every day wear.

Good 3 season jacket, wee bit large, but meant for winter and will be filled out by a fleece.

I got this for my disabled son it is a little large but that is how he likes it.This was what he asked for as he had had one before

I haven't worn it in anger yet as it is nice weather. However it looks and feels great. It will be warm when autumn/winter comes. Fleece lining is comfortable and pockets are all zipped. Fits nicely too.

This product is great for Autumn and winter weather. The Colouring was abit different from the image displayed on the page however still a really good anorak.
