The snap that you attach around your belt pops loose when you draw the knife. Rather tgan the knife releasing from the sheath it just stays in and the sheath comes off your belt with the knife inside. Rivet it. The snap sounds good but does NOT work!

Fits Morakniv Eldris perfectly. Only down side is the snap on the belt loop. Would much prefer it to be sewn or riveted.

I find it comical how there's a 101 year warranty. Youre not just buying a sheath you also get a cool leather tab for you key chain and a nifty drawstring bag it comes in. However whoever decided to add a snap to the belt loop needs to rethink their life. The snap comes undone constantly, i super glued it shut. That being said now that its glued shut the inside of the snap shifts and messes up my knife edge. All could have been avoided using a rivet instead of a snap. The quality of leather is great, the craftsman is great, the warranty is amazing (but they're not in America) and the added bonuses are amazing!

THE SNAP: why? Somebody’s gonna lose a knife and sheath. Really 2 bad. Cannot trust THE SNAP. Glue???

Decent Sheath for the money.Thin leather, but needed something to hold my morakniv (the 2 inch one), so I could actually use it.The button (like others have commented) was crap.I super glued it on day 1, because it just wouldn't stay closed.

I purchased this sheath for use with a Schrade SCHF16 fixed blade. It is a perfect fit for that knife. Unfortunately, I have to agree with the other reviewers who commented on the snap. The sheath is well-made, with beautiful leather, but the snap is a bad idea, or at least it's not properly implemented.I've worn this twice on walks, on level ground with no pack, and both times I arrived home with the sheath unsnapped and dangling by the unfastened strap, held between belt and pants only by friction. On rough terrain or in the woods, the knife and sheath would certainly have been lost.They should have just sewn or riveted the strap at the bottom instead of including the snap. I may try to put Loctite or glue inside the snap to make it more secure. This is a very attractive sheath, and If not for the snap it would be ideal.

This a beautifully made sheath for small edge factor knives -it's absolutely fantastic!The attention to detail, fit and finish, and overall attention to craftsmanship is beyond what anyone should expect for the money.My only complaint is the snap; it comes undone.If there is a way to make the snap's H&D use ( a more robust, stiffer snap maybe?) less likely to come undone on the belt -or just make a straight up belt loop - then perhaps H&D should explore that.In any case, Hide and Drink make wonderful, beautifully well crafted leather sheaths!

It is hard to give this four stars as the value is incredible and it is very nicely packaged in a little fabric gift bag. I deducted a star as the metal snap on the belt loop is a bit loose and often pops off when I pull knife from sheath.

I love the craftsmanship on the sheath. But like all the other complaints. the dam snap keeps letting go. I thought it would have been addressed by now so that is why I ordered it, but its still an issue. I do not think I would recommend this only because of the snap.
