Our house has a rectangular glass window right next to the front door, and anyone walking by could see straight in. We wanted privacy without sacrificing natural light, so we decided to try Coavas Window Privacy Film. This film is made with a frosted design that obscures the view from the outside while still allowing plenty of light to come through. It was surprisingly easy to install - we just needed a spray bottle, some soapy water, and a squeegee. The film itself is high quality and feels very durable. We can't see out, but we can tell there are still shapes and shadows visible from the other side, so it's perfect for achieving daytime privacy. This privacy film is an affordable and effective solution, and we're very happy with the results. We highly recommend this product!

I did not get this to add privacy to my room, although it would work for that as others have stated. My windows have cheap plastic blinds with slats and I needed to diffuse the harsh morning sun as it rose across the upper portion of the window. Worked perfectly! I now get sun but without the blinding rays. Cheap and durable solution. Easy to install!

This stuff was WAY easier to apply than I thought. I was really nervous based on my experience with shelf liner, but it's so simple to position (and reposition) because there's no actual sticky adhesive. All it takes is lots of water and a plastic putty knife. Went up so quick and easy! Do make sure your measurements are correct before you put this up, though - I wasn't able to trim the edges with a knife once it was in position (the glass in the windows has a rubber seal around it). Also - if you measure wrong and come up short (like I did on one window), it's almost impossible to patch. The 1" strip I stuck to the side barely adheres, and you can see a very visible seam from both inside and outside. (Note - in my pics, you can see the strip of masking tape I used to try to get the seam to lay flat. DON'T DO THIS. When I peeled it off the next morning, the whole edge of both sides of the seam came with it. More water and another pass with the putty knife got it to stick to the window again, but it's still not pretty.)I got the "silver silk" and thought it provided a good balance between allowing light in and camouflaging all the junk inside our garage. Might have preferred just a littler more blur (because things sit so close to the window), but still, I like the pattern/grain a lot.

It looks great! This probably is more a how to do than a review. The stars should speak for the review. Measure twice, cut once. Clean the surface thoroughly and apply generous amounts of mild soap water. For larger surfaces, get help. Use a good quality utility blade to cut and viola! Looks great and offers privacy!

These privacy films have given me such peace of mind. They're stylish, and they let in ample natural light without being too opaque or too transparent. Even at night with the lights on in the house, you can't see in from the outside except silhouettes.Storytime: My husband and I are newlyweds, and when we got married, I relocated from the city where I lived to his small, close-knit town. It's a nice place to live, but because I work from home, I have become something of a novelty to our elderly neighbors who are unfamiliar to the concept. One of our neighbors drops by unannounced on a regular basis, makes unwelcome comments about how "unhealthy" it is for me to work from home, and monitors our comings and goings from our house relentlessly.I was irritated with her nosiness, but I didn't think it was a big problem until one day when I caught her PEERING THROUGH OUR BEDROOM WINDOW while I was working. She had her face pressed up against the glass, hands cupped around her eyes, examining our bedroom. I went outside to confront her, and as far as I know, she has not done it again.Her assurances, however, did not ease my mind, and that's when I started looking for privacy film for the windows. And these are perfect. They're easy to install (measure twice, cut once), and they look so pretty on the windows--almost like lace. And best of all: they keep out prying eyes. My neighbor has even remarked upon them with displeasure, probably because they spoiled her voyeuristic endeavors.So any product that works as well as this AND spites my neighbor get an A+ in my gradebook. Highly recommend!

The film does provide privacy but it seems like the further you are away from the window the clearer the image gets. For example I bought a privacy film from another seller and that one is really good. The only reason why I bought this one was because the other seller wasn't stocking theirs anymore. After installing I noticed that if I put my face right up to the window I couldn't see anything, but as I stepped further back I could make out the neighbor's window outline perfectly. Another issue is that the previous film when the sun shines through the window, it softens the cast light and you cannot make out the window at all as it cast onto the floor. With this film, it makes a distinct shape of the window on the floor. it just does not diffuse the light as well as the other film. It still offers privacy but not as diffused as well.

Pattern looks great, very few bubbles during application. Easy to install overall but corners were a little tricky to cut. Very thick material but has stayed up well after over a years time. We have two windows on the sides of our doors, provides privacy and shade.

The media could not be loaded. My spa suite had a window in the door. I purchased this window film to cover the window for privacy. It lets light through but you can’t see through. It was easy to install and looks great!
