Closet Pro HD CD-0010-BN Heavy Duty Closet Pole Sockets, Brushed Nickel

First thing I noticed after opening is that the finish on these is rather poorly done. The U-shaped piece has an area around the perimeter that is of a different texture and the top areas seem to be lacking brush marks. The round piece is better but also has some roughness to it.The package instructions suggest mounting to a wall stud. However, the spacing of the holes on the U-shaped piece are 2-3/16" apart and on the round piece are 1-15/16" apart, so at best one can get 2 of the screws into a stud. I suggest a heavy-duty wall anchor for that third screw!And the screws supplied are only 3/4" long, protruding 5/8" from the bracket. This is insufficient to get through sheet rock so you'll be stuck trying to find some longer brushed nickel screws to use before you can mount them.An alternate mounting suggestion is to get a 1x4 and mount it to the studs on each side - in a closet, run it wall to wall. Then mount these brackets to the 1x4 using the supplied screws. You'll probably want to paint it. Or even better, get a 1x6 and mount these towards the bottom and you can set a shelf on top of that.

Excellent! Holds a wooden pole, and you can squeeze the tops of the open-top bracket if you want. If there are clothes hanging from it, that’s not necessary; it won’t come out with weight on it. Very well designed. It was super easy to install them. I got three pair, one for a tall clothes pole and two more for upper and lower clothes poles. Much better than I could find at a hardware store.

This is the 2nd time we've bought them to go with a solid brushed nickle closet rod. If we ever need to put in more rods I'm sure these are the one's we will order again. They are sturdy but I don't use the screws they provide.

Just bought this to replace a plastic one that cracked and sent my closet pole and entire wardrobe crashing to the floor. It fit the metal pole in my closet and seems secure, but I agree with other posters that the screws are not all that good and strip easily.

I needed this to replace the plastic one I had, which had cracked. I had to sand the closet pole a bit to fit, but these holders did the trick.

It replaced a piece of junk in my child's wardrobe that already broke twice from a Finnish store, and it is super strong and sturdy, highly recommended to replace those plastic parts holding everything inside a wardrobe.

These are good looking brushed nickel, not any gold or yellowing but softer silver than brushed stainless. Nice thick and solid, no nibs or casting marks.

We used it outside (with 5 foot a metal pole) to hang a huge 30-plus-year-old Staghorn Fern. Exactly what we needed.

I used it in my R.V. to install a removable close hanger over the shower and tub enclosure. Now we can shower & bathe and also have a large wardrobe closet.

Really sturdy and heavy duty hardware. Easy to install and so easy to use for an instant closet. I used very heavy wooden pole and it fits great into this system. Great amazon purchase.
