Scent wasn’t the same as original cologne smelt in store

Great product, I love the cologne, but my review is one star short because the pump on the bottle is cheap!

Have used this cologne for years, learned of it from my older brother. Love the fragrance---a classic. My wife loves it.

My grandfather wore Royal Muske and I’ve been a user for nearly a decade. I also design fragrances regularly for personal care products and can tell you without a doubt that they cheapened the formula by most likely reducing the perfume and essential oils. This translates to a much thinner fragrance with a much more aggressive alcohol smell and which wears off much quicker than the formerly quality stuff. I’ve bought this twice now thinking it might’ve been a bad batch but unfortunately it’s not and whoever is behind this has cheapened and optimized for cost ruining the beautiful fragrance this once was. Extremely disappointed in whoever is behind this.

I bought this "lotion/cologne" (8 oz.) recently and its potency and depth has somehow changed from the dozens of bottles of the same cologne that I've purchased in the past. It used to have a deep, rich smell, but this is like a light aftershave / toilet water, not like a deep, rich cologne. It seems watered-down, somehow. I'm deeply disappointed. My only guess is that Royall has either diluted the cologne, or they have sold me an old, old bottle. Disappointing.

I was always a big fan of Jovan musk in the '70's, so when I first purchased Royall Muske in about 2003, it brought back some great memories. It is lighter and more sensual to me. I get many compliments from the ladies..guess it just works great with my body chemistry. If you like Muske, this one is definitely worth a try.

My wife originally bought this cologne for me many years ago, and it has become my favorite. Not only does it smell good, it also lasts a long time. Recently, I ordered another bottle, and while the box and the label on the bottle matched what I had ordered, the bottle itself (the glass has a design which matches the fragrance) and the contents were of a different fragrance -- Royall Lyme.Still a nice fragrance, and one I've decided to keep.
